It's always fun to watch a game like this play out and see as it winds down where the last minerals are spent and the decisions players make, if the terran player doesnt focus down the main hatch the zerg defends and rebuilds...if the zerg player only saves 25 minerals after losing all hatcheries the game could have been quite different. If the terran player doesnt get raxes landed in the right place to form a ling tight wall there was no way 2 marines would have made any difference...
I don't want to describe the entire game here but I will say the game is very short (I open proxy rax scv allin) and luckbox a win thanks to 2 hero marines. But the way its done is rather insane... These 2 marines squeaked out with just 5 minerals to spare (thanks to a salvaged bunker) and they hold off the angry handful of drones and lings and survive one of the most scariest broodling blitzes ever ( in a momentary lapse of judgement I wasn't thinking about the impending broodlings bound to pop out of a spawning pool that was off creep in deep red hp and falling...) also I thought he could have been bluffing and actually had 25 minerals in the bank so with my lone marine I had to debate if I should leave the wall and go kill what at the time was his last extractor...Leaving the wall for too long with my last marine would have allowed for him to break through possibly while he makes another extractor somewhere on the map...
anyway if you want some entertainment and like shit like this I've posted the replay. (a rather fitting conclusion to a tumultuous ladder session (started 0-8 then went 8-0 lol)) if anyone else has any stories of narrow wins like this please share or post the replays, I love this kind of stuff that you don't see every day. maybe 1 in a thousand games comes down to moves this narrow and close ) ^_^
