Due to JTV's down time on Thursday and some traveling over the weekend, last night was my first real cast of SC2Stadium. A cast which, I must say, was excellent. That might be stretching it a bit but at the very least I had a blast. My voice started to get a bit horse by the end of the show but that should be fixed with practice.
I'll be doing it again tonight so you should all come join me! I should be live as of 6pm (EST) and the actual show is between 8 and 9. Its going to be a grand old time :D
Now, on to the important bit.
Being a mere novice I seek a master to teach me the deep secrets of the art of Twitterfu.
I am looking for advice on the following:
1) How do I develop a strong following/attract new followers? 2) How often is it okay to tweet before I get annoying?
Thats all for now folks.
Oh, and you can follow me @IVFearless on Twitter

Not a Twitter guru by any means, I actually rarely use the site, but some things I've noticed just as general trends with these kinds of things:
-Friends: Personal friends are guaranteed followers usually. Even if they don't necessarily care about what you'll be posting, it's a start. And really, if they aren't willing to help you out , are they your friends anyway?
-Coworkers: Not sure how old you are/what you do, but same as above. You gotta start somewhere, and asking coworkers to check you out and follow you if they're cool with it just helps get your name out there.
-Plugging: This is definitely the most important part of creating a large following from everything I've seen. If you'll be posting youtube videos, make sure to plug your twitter in the cast at some point. If you're streaming, plug it during your live cast or even have it displayed on stream the entire time somewhere. Basically any medium where you're producing content should have some sort of link to your other mediums. (Ex: Post your twitter and youtube account on your facebook, facebook and twitter on your youtube, etc)
-Tagging: Using hashtags and tagging individuals seems to be a pretty good way to nab followers as well. Casting a player who participated in a live event? Tag the live event to draw attention to what you're doing. Again, I'm not too familiar with twitter so I don't know about any restrictions that may come with tagging individuals, but hashtags are always a good way to get more people noticing you if you ask me.
Hope some of that helps. As I said I'm not a guru by any means, but some good general tips on where/how to get followers.
As for how often to tweet. If you've got something relevant, tweet it! If you'll be casting every night, tweet before you go live! If something out of the ordinary happens during the cast, tweet it! You definitely don't want to be tweeting every time a new game starts or you ban a guy from chat or something. Also don't forget to make your tweets lively, uninteresting tweets are just that, uninteresting.

- give your tweets personality (shoutouts to @CallMeTasteless :D) - engage into "conversations" - tweet less than g4mr and/or duckvillelol -_- (as in, don't be obnoxious) - plug your twitter creatively (see below)

Provide content.
Don't just be a clone of whatever is popular at the moment (so many Twitter accounts just tweet what's popular on Reddit/Tumblr).
Engage with people, just be yourself and always have fun with it.
To be entirely honest, I'd say the best thing to do is just use it, follow people you like, people you find interesting, and people you know from TL. There are no secrets to it, but the fact is that people who use it specifically to develop a huge following tend to end up with a fairly shitty following.
Quality over quantity in all things.
+ Show Spoiler +I hadn't wanted to post my Twitter account here, for fear of looking as though I was whoring it out, but I guess it might actually be best to post it just as an example of what I would consider worthwhile use of the service: http://twitter.com/#!/sirjolt
