So something pretty interesting happened to me. I have really good night vision. I can see really well in the dark.
The thing is, the daytime sun seems excessively bright to me. Now, I know that the sun is fucking bright, but it's brighter than it used to be. 2 years ago, I could look one way with the sun directly above that direction and see everything without having to use my hands to shade my eyes. Now? Can't see shit.
Same thing at night time, though it's not as bad. Street lamps looks really bright. Much brighter than I remember them to be. Normally this wouldn't make sense, because the process should have been gradual, but since I'm away at college, I haven't seen the street lamps back home for a year. This gradual process would have been otherwise unnoticeable.
At first I was just confused. But as I started thinking more, I guess I have a theory. I sorta became nocturnal while at college. The past two semesters, my schedule has been pretty messed up. Some days, my schedule is normal, most others, I'll either sleep my 9 hours after classes and wake up at midnight, or I'll nap for 4 hours after classes, wake up in the evening, stay up till 4am, sleep for another 4 hours, and go to class. And everything in between these extremes.
Not only that, but I always stayed in the dark. My room is kept dark all the time, with only a small desklamp providing a little more light than a nightlight would give. My computer screen is always white text (or green, blue, etc) on a black background.
With all of those things adding up throughout the course of an entire year, either my brain is starting to interpret stimuli differently, or my pupils have been dilated for such long periods of time that it's much harder now for them to adjust to bright light. Hmm or a combination of both.
Kinda interesting. I can see really well in the dark, but the downside is, bright lights in the dark, as well as really sunny days, make my eyes a bit uncomfortable.

Damn I envy you, my night vision is shot, everything is blurry. I've tried on glasses and can see much better at night, but I don't own a pair. AND brightness during the day often makes me squint, but at least it's not blurry during the day

Have you been bitten by anyone recently... :S

I went through a similar predicament except with water.
I used to be able to see perfectly, now my vision is rather blurry and I require glasses.
Underwater my vision is perfect, even better than I ever remember it in air. It's really noticeable when I'm diving.

Very interesting, I thought I was just getting super sensitive to light randomly but your theory kind of makes sense to me. I don't frequently use my computer with my more powerful overhead light on, instead I use a lamp which still keeps it bright but not nearly as bright as most of my friend's computer area. I also in the past year or so have had a sleep schedule that is sort of like go to bed at 4-5 am and wake up at 1,2 or even 3 pm sometimes. Seeing as I just had an eye exam today, I wish I read this post so I could ask the optometrist about it :D

Did you get bit by something recently ? But it's kinda weird that your vampire transformation is taking that long, it should only take a couple of days.
Btw, since UV rays are what causes vampires to die at the sunlight, I've always wondered if vampires could survive at the sun if they used a very efficient sunblock cream.

who's sam fisher and what traits do i share with him?
btw, im trying to adjust my eyes back to the way they used to be (normal lol) because even though i enjoy being in the dark, i need a normal schedule once i start interning in the fall. and im working regular hours now in the summer, so it'd be better for me to do so.
