Hi guys!
I've decided to study in England which is obviously in Western Europe. As you might know, Bulgaria is located at Eastern Europe, so I guess there is a difference between the east and the west. I admit I know little about the western behaviour as well as culture, so I made this blog hoping to learn more! Any advice is welcome as well as information.

You should go to as many soccer/football games as possible when the season starts up again. I have always wanted to go to England and watch EPL matches in person, it seems like such a great atmosphere and this is besides the fact that it is the best league in the world. I have also heard their fish and chips are good.

There's a lot of eastern europeans in britain these day's and in most city's you'll find speciality shops and cafes which may help out if you ever feel homesick and need a taste of home. I've never been to bulgaria so I can't say too much about the culture shock you may feel but as long as you enjoy drinking you'll have a LOT in common with other students. There is a huge binge drinking culture over here.

If you meet someone that does what you're studying for don't be too firm asking how much they earn it's really easy to some off as rude.

I know that germans get confused when we say pleasentry's like "good to meet you / we must keep in touch" when there's only really a feeling of indifference, and they see it as lying.

Really though if you try to be friendly and open you should be peachy.
