So everyone who follows my blogs is well-aware that I cosplay. However, I also appreciate other types of art! Truthfully, I'm not a great artist, but I do enjoy drawing little things here and there. I'm not sure where my love for art started, but I have found some very interesting pieces of my work!
Actually, the oldest piece of art that I seem to have created for personal pleasure (not pictures of my cats/family for my parents) is quite disturbing! O.O No, really, it makes me think I was a really messed up little kid! I have a whole sketch book that I attempted to write scary stories in, but I clearly didn't have the English skills to do so! The end of the attempts at stories is just a few side shots of "houses" that you can see into. One of the houses has a person tied up in the attic being attacked by a vampire, a snake crawling up the stairs, someone person bleeding to death on spikes in the basement and a random fire in the middle of the house. I'm not sure what you drew in your childhood, but this makes me slightly worried about mine!
Alright, so about halfway through elementary school, I got a starter deck of Wyvern cards. No, I never tried to play the game. However, most Wyvern cards have pictures of dragons on them! I had already liked dragons at the time, but those cards made me obsessed! Thus, I spent all of 3rd-5th grade drawing nothing but dragons, mostly copied from those cards. Truthfully, I wasn't half bad at copying, though my original dragons need more work. I still have a backpack that I decorated with a dragon that I think pretty badass, especially considering what a bitch acrylic paint is to work with! Here's one of my more recent (non-copied!) dragons:

I discovered MMOs in middle school, most notably, Ragnarok Online. Thus, I started my habit of drawing my MMO avatars. I played an assassin cross named Ryu-chan (Dragon-chan, if you couldn't have guessed!). Unfortunately, RO isn't exactly the most high res game out there, even back then, though it did cause me to get away from my habit of copying everything.

Yes, I also had a Soul Linker named Kinky-Linky, though I always drew her looking super innocent
Yes, I had a very anime-esq style, which I still guess I have, though not to the same extent. As you can see, those were two pieces that I drew without reference. When I was coping from another source, my art looked more like this:

Truthfully, I enjoy having a fairly decent copying ability, because it means that I can draw pictures of people in photos. Snap a photo of friends, then draw them! Bamph, quick and easy presents, though I have only used it for guys I have a crush on or that I'm dating. This was one of my crushes from early high school (no worries, it turns out he's a prick):

If you haven't noticed my favorite medium is pencil. Actually, to be specific, it's mechanical pencil. While traditional art pencils are great and all, my OCD/perfectionist side likes mechanical pencils because their tip stays pretty much the same size, which allows me to make more consistent lines. However, in high school, I got a pretty neat present: a tablet! While I still prefer pencils to my tablet, I think it's mostly due to lack of practice. The first thing I drew with my tablet was one of the midsummer fire festival dancers (from WoW, of course):

That picture taught me also to make the base picture as large as possible (if you notice, the face isn't very detailed, but it's because I couldn't zoom in any more, because I made the initial image too small). While the picture is okay, I absolutely loved how I could blend colors like with paint, but undo the errors and still lay clean lines over the top. Whenever I do anything in color, I always use my tablet! One of the next images I drew was Riku (the original, in all of her druidy-beauty) in a chibi-style:

Also, somewhere between middle school and high school, I picked up the habit of drawing female bodies. For some reason, whenever I start randomly sketching something, it always ends up being a nude women. I absolutely hate trying to draw faces, though, especially with how small my sketches are, so I think most of my professors think I have lesbian fantasies about faceless females (unfortunately, I tend to sketch on my homework assignments a lot). I can't find any right now, but, if I do, I'll scan one and post it!
Alright, that's about all I can think about writing about my art, so here's a bit of an image dump:
