I was recently invited to the University of Trondheim, in Trondheim, Norway, to give a 20 minute speech on the cultural impact and importance of StarCraft. Of course, being a lesser-known caster, I was very flattered to be chosen for this task. They selected me because I have fans there, and my sense of humor fit the casual tone of the event well. I have the videos of my speech and the following Q&A session up on my YouTube channel, and I would love to share these videos with the community.
I hope I contributed in some way to the StarCraft community's history, and I hope I did the fans proud. Enjoy.
(PS: The other guest is Sal Lizard, president of the largest Star Trek fan club. Star Trek was the other theme of the evening, with the over-arching theme of sci-fi's cultural impact.)
Pretty cool Sahara, congrats on the distinction! You and Crota were the first casters I listened to for SC2 I'll comment more on the content later, at work atm
wtf how come I didn't hear of this! I live in trondheim and attend the university!
seems like someone high up in the student body council or whatever is very positive towards starcraft though, I once played a showmatch hosted by them and I was also interviewed by the student newspaper and radio channel.
that was in like 2005 or something, glad they're still at it.

What do you study?
I also missed this There are MANY people attending NTNU that love SC2 though, wherever I go I find SC2 fans.
The minute someone makes a SC2 club or LAN party in Trondheim they're going to be suprised to the massive response they'll get! Atleast that's my dream!
MLG-parties and such would have been awesome! Or just meeting up with a bunch of norwegians talking / playing SC!
