What a tournament, hey? Madness. The stream, the streeeeeeeeam...
Anyway, I'm totes excited that my Protoss brothers have done so well - Huk bringing the classic moments once again, InControl being a total consistent baller and bringing it home for my race.
One other thing the tournament has done is made me think.
Since my placement matches on both servers (placed top 50 Silver on both NA and SEA, thanks for asking), I've been thinking about fun in the game.
I'm one of those girls who, unfortunately, needs to be good at everything.
And when I'm not, I get frustrated.
Silver, obv, does not make me a "good" player.
It makes not not amazingly shit, but shit nonetheless.
It makes me do weird shit, like not going to bed even though it's 2am because I can't leave on a loss.
It makes me get a little anxious about clicking the button to find a game.
So, fuck it.
Let's have fun.
This week, inspired by Huk's loltastic win over Idra using hallucinations, I will be practicing with hallucinated units - messing round with them, lolling about while drinking gin, that kind of thing.
And each week, I will find fun things to do for myself.
I need to remind myself games are fun, and not every man and his dog is diamond/plat, nor is that really important.
