Most people agree that PvZ right now favors toss. 6 gate timings are pretty easy hit and they smash a lot of common zerg builds. Early stargate play can be pretty harsh as well if a zerg player doesn't not scout it.

Simply make 2 void rays and 1 phoenix and then hit the Zergs main. Pick up the queens and kill them. You can kill 2 queens easily, but if there are up I fall back and kill overlords.

A lot of the time the zerg will just transition into a roach/hydra mix. Transitioning into Colossi and then hitting with a death ball is what I do mostly against zerg these days when they go roach/hydra. The key is to hit them before they have their third base up and running. If you can out macro a zerg as toss its almost guaranteed win.

I have trouble with early mass ling and baneling. I'm just not really sure how to handle the banelings. One player dropped all my bases and killed every probe in about 10 seconds while we were having a battle in the middle. Most likely I think I could have dealt wdith it with better scouting.

Although unit comp is important, I think the main point to a good PvZ player is macro and good harass. I try to use dark templar in mid-late game for drone harass. I also try to use my phoenix to scout and harass as much as possible. Picking up Hydras as they come out, killing drones, killing overlords. And in the main fight they can pick up units and take them out of the equation for a little.

I think my 4 gate is improving. I've been able to get my gateways to finish right when my warp research is done. I'm trying to work on timing the proxy pylon with the finish of the warp gates as well. If I can target fire stalkers/immortals I can end up winning pretty easily. I chrono boost my nexus twice then the rest on warpgate research and then warpgates.

you shouldnt be able to hit a timing with a collossus push delayed by early stargate before they get their 3rd up unless the zerg is taking a ridiculously late third...but yeah thats a nice strat im trying to do it more, although i prefer to skip phoenixes since void rays have more dps

You got a point there. This may just be working because they are getting their 3rd too late. It's worked sometimes when they have their 3rd up for just a little bit.

The point of the phoenix isn't for the DPS, its that queens can outrun void rays on creep, and so rather than just sitting there and dying alone they can run to one another. If you have three void rays and he has three or four queens, he can run them together and you can't touch them. If you have two voids and a phoenix, you can catch two of the queens at one of the base, lift one with the phoenix, kill it, and then retreat, nothing lost.

two voids is plenty enough DPS for attacking a Zerg base, the hard part is controlling his queens so that they either die, or have to stay away from the voids for fear of dying, so the phoenixes handle that aspect.

what's your timing on the void ray? 8min in? cause if that's the case as a zerg i always have anti air, whether it be mass queen, a a spore or infestors. 1 phoenix is nothing to be scared of when i have 4 queens and an infestor waiting.

Half the time the zerg is prepared like you state here, the other half they are not. Some games I'll go fast stargate and right to the 2 void ray + 1 phoenix. If zerg goes for some heavy roach play and doesn't prepare for air then this pretty much kills. Other games I'll go forge fast expand into stargate, and again all comes down to if zerg gets anti-air out fast enough. I try to get a robo down as my air moves to the zergs base, that way I can transition into colossi.
