Before MLG Dallas, Jinro was a pretty unknown player. People knew of him and that he was on Team Liquid, but no one actually saw him play much. And no one expected him to be one of the most accomplished foreigners in SCII. Well there is a reason for this. It wasn't practice or luck; it was anger.
I remember like it was yesterday. I was at MLG Dallas with my friend. We were just watching Starcraft like everyone else. My friend loved TLO, and luckily TLO and Jinro sat right in front of us. After a few minutes of excitement, my friend asked TLO to sign his hoodie. TLO did, but Jinro just sat there. Then more people came to TLO, but not Jinro. That pissed him off.
I could tell that Jinro was furious. That he was just ignored and left to sit there as a nobody. As if he wasn't even significant to the professional gaming scene.
Then out of the purest rage, he won MLG Dallas and now he gets far in every GSL...all because he didn't get to sign my friend's hoodie.

I guess you're talking regarding success in SC2, but Jinro (FA) is well known and respected since like forever.

JInro didnt have the chance to practice 8 hours a day along with making the koreans redevelop "flawless" strategies that don't currently exist.

he's been bashing his head against the wall after losing ladder games long before mlg ever happened

Interesting theory but I believe it's not plausible oO, if Anger was a tablet to success in SC2, a lot of angry nerds that smash their room after they lose would be successful in GSL but they're not?
Jinro has mucho talent and FrozenArbiter has like what 20k+ posts on TL? He must have a lot of game knowledge from BW that he can carry over to SC2.

Yea like minus_human said, Jinro has been known for a really long time. He even has some threads he made in the broodwar strategy section years ago. I believe it was the sim city for PvZ FE or something like that.

ahaha you can't be right op, jinro seems very kind hearted and friendly, he wouldn't be fueled by such negative emotions : P Jinro hwaiting!

Sounds like a ZenexButterflyEffect syndrome to me. Too bad that movie sucks, according to Tastosis.
It seems the smallest of gestures really do make a difference. Artosis's denied high-five to Idra may have contributed to what could be a revolution in Western e-sports. Someone's drunken idea of "orcs in space" may have led to one of the greatest games of all time. A single terrible commentator at the US WCG 2005 finals may have sparked the career of one Tasteless.
It is said that the seed of success is anger and rage. How else can you explain Idra's success?

I feel bad...because I asked TLO to sign my mouse pad and I think it was Jinro sitting next to him.

I <3 you Jinro!

You bitter rek?

Just found this and lol :D TLO always gets the most fan love and there is always someone with him to give contrast. Poor sidekicks

I don't quite understand this OP because at the time of March, Jinro's success in the GSL was at its peak and he should have been equally as well-known as TLO, if not more so, unless to someone who doesn't watch the GSL (why the fuck not).
