In my ZvP I usually send a scout out around 13. I feel like it's not always in time to see the absence of any structures in their base. I find it really tough to hold off with lings and crawlers. Sometimes when I go back and check the replay there is no point where his probe enters my screen. Do any of you Zergies out here scout the insides of your base with any regularity?   | ||

Also, it's fairly easy to defend, assuming he doesn't completely seal off his pylon. You can actually pull drones/lings to snipe one of the gates ways, and everything else should be dandy. Also note that if you do defend, it's basically a win for your pocket. | ||

I always build a depot by my ramp just so i can catch the probe coming in, one time I don't see it coming up the ramp... proxied! | ||

I think last time I remember it was done on metalopolis. The pylon was mostly sealed in I think. Usually by the time my scouting drone gets into the opponent's base his gates are done and maybe a zealot too. | ||
