why would you have a (live) halftime show be done by a band who is only good in studio i liked their clothing though edit: it would have been a lot more tolerable if they hadn't murdered sweet child o' mine

I thought this about the tv show as well. I bet that it was better in the stadium, and they just had a lot of trouble tuning out feedback from the music while still getting crowd noise and stuff. Every time the music/musical setting changed you could tell that they were having a lot of trouble getting the audio right.

Not that great, but if they could have timed the music correctly, then the show would have been much better. It was an improvement from last year's show, which I actually stopped watching 2 minutes in to go play a Halo 3 match. I've got to say that Fergie was the worst of them all. Whenever she started singing, I wanted to mute my TV. She was just lucky that my remote was too far away for me to reach. I was in super lazy mode and was not going to get up from my comfortable position I was laying down in.

I'm not sure if it was any better... maybe the audio but the actual singing... it sounded bad on tv I'm sure it sounded bad there too. I've never seen them perform live before but if that is their norm performing live... ouch.

Anyone who says any of these people have "no talent" are completely wrong. Regardless of your personal feelings about a persons music there are a lot of things that these people do that get them where they are.. If it's songwriting, performing, singing or producing, these people possess talent regardless of whether or not a certain performance goes well... And that goes for ALL genres of music. Most acts in any genre now are paid for the digital sound of their music not for a stage show which is why many of the Halftime shows aren't any good.. The Who would have been great to see... 30 years ago.. Last year I thought one of them fell asleep. He apparently was thinking what I was.. Now to my thoughts on the actual show.. I was disappointed. This is a group that is known for high energy songs and they started the first 5 minutes looking like they were zombies... The microphones didn't seem to be working in the beginning and things were just very dull.. As things progressed it got a bit better because the surrounding atmosphere was really thought out and well planned.. But the effects and stage crew along with the audio people seemed to drop the ball tremendously. Usher was more entertaining on stage but it was again lessened by the technical issues. All in all it looked as if they didn't put enough work and rehearsal into the actual show and the result is what was seen... Mediocre at best.. But yet better than last year.

I'm sure they are more capable of having a fantastic live performance, but tonight just wasn't their night considering the technical shenanigans happening all over the place.

And that's saying a lot. The only redeemable factor was that usher can dance.
