GirlTalk - Anyone seen him live?

So, I've loved GirlTalk (Greg Gillis) for some time now, but have never gotten to see him live. I've heard that his concerts/events are amazing.

For any of you who haven't heard any of his stuff, take a look at the first song of his new album. He is a mash artist so you got to like that kind of music.

So my question is, for those of you who have seen GirlTalk live, was it worth the money? I don't do drugs so that is not a reason for me to go. I want the musical experience and a fun crowd.

Definitely worth the money.
My friends lovelovelove him. Saw him live. Said they've never seen anything better.

Ive gone twice, and I'm going to be a photographer for him this weekedn. Personallly I think its more fun if you are in the front, Greg is infamous for pulling ppl up with him on stage. its just a great big dance party.

All the tickets are sold out in DC

He showed up at my school for homecoming but I didn't get there early enough to get tickets.

I'd love to go. Got into them by watching djWHEAT's stream, he plays them constantly.

In my experience it was extremely crowded and progressed like a rave. If you have a small stature you'll probably get pushed around alot and possibly crushed, especially if people are allowed to rush the stage at any point. And you'll probably get beer all over you.

Those were all the bad things that I can remember but as for the rest it was just a gigantic mosh pit and a cathartic experience (needless to say the music was first rate).

Oh yeah some of the openers were terrible... but not really a reason to write off the main act

Saw him at Bonnaroo in '07 but I was super drunk/high most of the festival so it's sort of a blur sadly. Definitely want to see him again. I'm pretty sure he was at Lolla when I went the following year as well, but I passed on seeing him in favor of someone else, don't recall who.

I saw him live three or four years ago when he first started to get big. The set he did then was pretty much an exact recreation of Night Ripper, very exact and almost cold, not playing off the crowd or freestyling at all. I've heard that he has become a much better live dj in the last few years but haven't seen him since.

Saw him live I think two years ago? Was a good time, half the crowd ended up on the stage with him, so if that's your thing it has a good chance of happening.
