Still bronze! I just noticed on the following replay, my APM is now up to 50ish consistently in my games, up from 26-30 in the earlier ones. As far as I know I'm not spamming anything so it should be effective APM, I'll chalk that up as an improvement. The following game is one that should show a decent improvement in my macro ability.

It's a ZvT, I did 14 hatch, 13 pool into roaches. He scouted and responded with marauders. I then switched to ling/muta/roach. One of the big mistakes I saw was making the lings... and then forgetting ling speed since I didn't pick it up in the opening.

one thing to note, regardless of your opening you should ALWAYS be getting the speed. It is like warpgate and stim: there is no situation where ling speed isnt useful. Especially versus terran.

In fact, roaches are probably one of the worst openings against terrans, unless you are completly sure there is no chance of the terran getting marauders nor banshees, which is most likely 99% of the cases.

Aye, I love the speedlings, and I intended to get them that round, somewhere along the way I forgot to pick it up after the initial round of roaches was out(probably part of the reason I'm still a bronzer!). I'm starting to like ling/roach + hydra later, until I get better about using my mutas without losing too many of them senselessly.

50 apm. Bro do you only use your mouse? In my experience with teaching people how to play starcraft, they generally get like 50-90 apm off of only mouse use. You should consider touching your keyboard. Such as using control groups (yes more than 2). It generally speeds you up and keeps your control more organized.

Okey now on to your actual game. First you don't scout AT ALL. That is a terrible terrible terrible idea. You should always know what your opponent is doing. From the git go if you can spot an error in his opening, you can win the game right then and there.

Second, you should not preemptively build an obscene amount of queens and spine crawlers, that's just unnecessary and pointless.

Your control of your army is bad in that you don't even organize it into seperate control groups. You have a single control group, which is bad. You should at the very least group all your units into a single control group so that you can switch between macroing with your hatcheries to fighting with your army. Letting your units suicide into another army is bad control.

As a zerg player you are expanding way too slowly. If your opponent is letting you be unchecked, then expand freely. Remember the more money you have, the closer you are to winning the game.

One good thing I did notice about your game is that you spent your money, so props on that.

I saw a little formatting option in another blog that I liked, so I may use it a bit .

Here's 3 from earlier today, I've been working on laddering in sets of 5. It seems like if I just say "5 games and I'm done for a bit," I don't have quite the nerves. The following 3 are all burrow roaches, been playing with them a bit, working off of the day9 bit awhile ago about them being "muscly" units, instead of cutesy.
