I have to both agree and disagree with the people in this thread who are against the idea of >$40 jeans. Well-fitted raw denim can look nice enough to easily be worth the price. However, there are much better choices than TR if this is what you're looking for. If price is enough of a concern that you're looking at bootlegged denim, you could get a nicer pair of raw denim jeans for much cheaper(I got an excellent pair of shrink to fit levis for way under $100 and I've heard good things about the sub-$80 unbranded jeans at urban outfitters http://search.urbanoutfitters.com/?q=unbranded). If you're looking to spend a fair amount, however, you could get some APC new standards for around $150 and never need another pair of jeans again.
