Classes seem pretty easy. I'm expecting to do well. I seem to remember a good deal about programming so I am really, really glad that I decided to take Java II. Just trying to figure out the Netbeans IDE and all the buttons is what slowed me down the first day. All the logic stuff is pretty second nature, and I breezed though the exercises. Visual Basic and Music Appreciation are equally mundane as courses. Hopefully VB will pickup once more meaningful coding ensues, but there's no hope for Music Appreciation.
Chem I homework is kicked my butt. I think all told 91 questions with about four parts each took me like eight or so hours of work over a few days to complete and I had to just give up on some of the answers. It was mostly just converting certain measurement to different systems of measurements. Nothing we'll ever actually do in class because we're always on the metric system, but it's a chore. Converting lbs to decigrams and kiloliters to gallons is just trivial busy work that he glossed over as unimportant in the lectures. I doubt it will come up in test.
On a side note, there is a cute little redhead in my Chem class and the lab to go with. Seems pretty sharp too watching her help others in the lab. Good scenery always makes a tough class easier to get through. We seem to be two sharp people in the Chem lab, helping others out and stuff, maybe I can parlay that into being study buddies. Maybe. Never had much luck with that ladies.
