Disclaimer: I realize this has been discussed before, I just don't know if there's an effective counter that's been developed yet and if there is, I'd like to know about it.
I play Terran and as any Terran player, often employ a Turbo Reaper opening against Protoss on most maps with lots of cliff to base area, and a short rush distance. The build allows for easy transitioning into standard play, gets your orbital command up, forces the Protoss to open fast stalkers, and if they don't, they can take a major economic setback for the 30 some seconds your reaper rules their base and scoffs at the futilte attempts of their zealots to catch them.
However, yesterday, while playing my GBFL tournament game and using this build, I noticed while scouting that, even though my opponent had gone fast stalker and effectively stopped my reaper before it started, all I needed to do was cancel the SOB and make a Maurader. Because a MULE equals about 4 scv's, if I pull those 4 and just bunker rush I effectively "break even", combine that with the salvage ability, and there's really no reason NOT to Turbo Reaper/Maurader Bunker rush.
You dictate the game, you force the Protoss out of his comfort zone, and you don't really take an economic "hit" because of the MULE.

was the thread that got me thinking, and honestly, while there are alot of fine idea's in it, there's just too much "IMBA!" bitching (not to mention the thread's crazy long) and I'd like to have a nice concise list of legitimately reasonable ways to deal with this.

It's just about having a comprehensive knowledge of the game. Also, most of my friends play Protoss and they're starting to shun me xD
I feel like when you have a good strategy it's perfectly reasonable to ask, "How can this be countered?" even if it's working for you, since you're just thinking further ahead. That way, when someone stops it, I know what to do next.

I think that Turbo reaper is an overrated build who doesn't work when the toss knows how to play. Probe cut + chronoboost on your first stalker hold pretty well.

So then I can just do the second part of the build where I transition into maurader when I see you going fast stalker and bunker rush you?

I have some wins vs Terrans who do this build. I'm still in platinium ( 14-5 ) but i'm matched vs Diamond players between 450 and 600.
I have seen some reps/vods where the protoss uses a zeal/sentry combo to hold the marauder rush but i prefer to go two gates zeal/stalker and get an immortal real quick. Maybe it doesn't work at 600+ diamond and higher but so far i'm kinda happy with this counter.
Terrans who play safe and get an early expo are way more scary imo

It'd be a lot easier if you attached a replay.
At what supply count is "turbo reaper" initiated? 8 or 10? Either way, it's fairly easy for a Protoss to defend against this with proper scouting, chrono-boosted stalkers, and a sentry or two. Unless you have NaDa-esque multitasking, it's incredibly difficult to effectively micro reapers while managing to not fall behind economically. Throw in building more barracks with tech labs, training marauders, and researching concussive shell and for most people control has completely flown out the window. The secondary marauder push gets shut down by forcefields or by simply being out-macro'd as a result of having less resources.

The sentries is a good idea. However, I think you missed the point, which I'm starting to think has to do with the way I worded things. You completely cut the reaper, when you scout the fast stalker, this turn the fight into a Maurader, vs Stalker battle, where the Maurader will win.

Here is one. This is not top level and we make some mistakes. He is a 580pts diamond terran and i guess i'm an average +/- diamond guy too.
I'm pretty sure you can find better replays of really good players on gosugamers or Sc2replay. Would probably be more interesting :p
