From Bill Simmons, a.k.a. "The Sports Guy", the number one online sports columnist in the U.S. right now:
Rules for Being a True Fan
12. After your team wins a championship, they immediately get a five-year grace period: You can't complain about anything that happens with your team (trades, draft picks, salary-cap cuts, coaching moves) for five years. There are no exceptions. For instance, the Pats could finish 0-80 over the next five years and I wouldn't say a peep. That's just the way it is. You win the Super Bowl, you go on cruise control for five years. Everything else is gravy.
To SKT1... I can't blame you for anything.
Here's why: http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/korean/leagues/157_2008-2009_Shinhan_Bank_Proleague
Way to go guys. You gave us a great year, only to come up short in the end.
Best, Fantasy... nice job. In the end, you were our most reliable players.
Bisu... you absolutely needed to win your game. You've used the same build on Polaris Rhapsody over and over again in the playoffs. Only this time, you played a player smart enough and well-prepared enough to come up with a perfect counter.
Hyuk, s2, Canata: The magic finally wore off. We couldn't excavate another win. Great job this year.
Wait until next year. SKT Fighting!!!

cant forget going into the finals TWICE in the row is difficult. especially since they been fighting for the Finals spot this year from the ro6

I'm not a hardcore SKT1 fan, but i rooted for them from the first proxy SCV to the last Muta in last set.
I 100% agree with op and also really commend smart play by KT tosses they deserve that win ;]
Better luck next year SKT !

So what can we expect from next year if the magic wore off?

Isn't it obvious? One HUGE final after vigorous days of battles one LAST battle to win it all
Alls on the line is basically why. Btw people need to stop asking this same question

Honestly, I have no idea. Players burst in and out of the scene so quickly in Starcraft. SKT's team seems to be a bit tired, I think. They have no one player in dominant form like Jaedong or Flash, and no star up-and-comers like Action or Stats.
I don't know if they'll be back next year. But this year was fun.

Why do you say that? Bill Simmons is the #1 sports columnist on what (I think) is the #1 sports website in the U.S. He wrote a #1 bestselling book. His opinions are a bit strong, but he has a lot of fans.
