I first encountered this feature of windowed mode without borders in Left 4 Dead and thought it was the most amazing thing ever that I could alt-tab without things crashing and without the window borders. I just set my game to the highest res on this setting and its like a full screen game that doesn't kill my computer when I alt+tab.
The fact that SC2 has this feature basically establishes SC2 as game of the year all years for me. More games definitely need this feature.
This is a tribute to windowed mode without borders. I love you.

I love this feature. It basically says "If your computer can overpower this game, then please, do so while retaining full access to your OS and whatever else you would like."

I smell a biased poll
Anyways, I prefer full screen since I click out of the screen sometimes in windowed and get pwned

I set my resolution to fill up my screen so it doesn't happen. So its like a full screen you can still alt+tab out of without the risk of crashing your computer.

Two monitors
I run any games that I can in windowed mode anyway, but sometimes my mouse still jumps out of the screen (TF2 especially) and it does ALL the time in sc2 (but not in SCBW with the w-mode plugin... how is that possible?).

I'm all for windowed mode, IFF running in windowed mode produces the same FPS as full screen.
Can someone comment on this?

Yep, window no borders is a great feature.
Alt + tab is super easy No risk of minimizing (unless you set something to do that) Alt + tab doesn't take a really long time
Games that have this feature are great! I used it for TF2.

For SCBW, I believe the windowed mode plugin has a setting to keep the mouse within the bounds of the window. That's weird that it happens to you in TF2 because even if I set the res lower then my native, FPS games should keep the mouse within the window whether its full screen or not.
For RTS games, I know most will have your mouse wander off screen if you're not careful or if there aren't special features like SCBW's windowed plugin.

TF2 has this feature?! I only have it as windowed with borders =( Is it in the video options because I've never seen it there.
Edit: nvm just found how to do it. just -noborder in the launch options.

Yeah, what I'm saying is that the w-mode plugin's cursor restrictions are ten times better than sc2's. My cursor leaves the screen ALL the time in sc2

Pretty sure it lowers game performance since your computer has to render the desktop at the same time. Not sure though, anyone who knows this?

Your performance will be a little worse if that's what you're asking.

I absolutly love this feature. Makes life so much easier

This feature is so incredible. I've come to expect it in most games.

It makes it slightly worse for me but it's barely noticeable at most times. Even on my laptop which doesn't have that great of specs.
