So, i've been saving up for almost 6 months now (and i mean SAVING UP, almost never going to "expensive" places and pretty much not spending on anything i didnt really needed). what for u may ask.. well here's the answer.
Samsung Led TV 55".
I just love that TV, cant wait to watch some live streams or reps in it, or why not some hd porn (SC comes first obviusly). I was checking prices here (I live in Peru btw) and the lowest price i found was.. 9 999 peruvian money (arround 3500 dollars) so i went to ebay to check out the prices on the US, since i have some relatives there who are coming next month and can bring the TV with them, n i found the tv to be sold for almost 2000-2300 bucks (w00t! lots of savings for me! @.@ ) so i was wondering if any of u guys could recommend me some places in miami or other sites where i look for the tv and buy it, n be happy for the rest of my life(*)

Brick and mortar stores.
I snagged a 60" LG Plasma for $1400 including tax. The marked price in the store (after a 30% grand opening sale discount) was like $2500.
Basically, I showed them some online-only coupons and Bing cashback of 10%, and they honored it all.
Of course, this is on a per-store basis, so you'd have to check around; even on different shifts to get a different associate/manager.

Bestbuy has the Samsung LED 55'' for $2,200. That's where I bought my TV from last year and had no complaints. Got a 42'' Sony LCD for $700 (30% off) and it was delivered in great shape and right on time.

I don't think your relatives can bring a 55" tv unless they aren't bringing much other items with them. Besides, with the way the luggage handlers throw shit all over the luggage compartment I don't think you want that to happen. My brother travels a lot and he almost never buys anything that is breakable because of bad experiences.

I have a Samsung LN52B650 I bought last year, And I can't recomend this TV enough. It is really an amazing looking LCD. I work in the AV industry and my daily job is taking care of movie theaters. I analyze TV/projection screens and make sure everything is functioning properly. I also used to travel setting up auto shows, so I have very extensive knowledge/experience with Plasma/LCD's.
I purchased my set from believe it or not, Amazon. I got it for $1799 w/free delivery and no tax + set up. The best price I could get form a 'brick and mortar store' was $1900 for an open box! I did a lot of research before purchasing this TV and I am very pleased with my decision.
Samsung LCD FTW!

relatives luggage aint really a problem.. they come with barely 1 bag, since almost everything is pretty cheap here (except for samsung led tvs ¬¬" ) so they have space.. they'd have to print the "fragile" mark like 10 times to carry my baby safe home though

I used to work in the post office and although it's not the airlines, putting fragile stickers all over don't mean squat. What happened was that we just tossed everything into the same bag and the delivery driver would take the whole bag and tossed it into his truck.
And imagine if the luggage handler was tired or just careless, that T.V. is just not going to survive the trip. But, who knows.

live streams and reps will probably look gaaaash on an hd tv. get the resolution hack for starcraft that should look pretty cool i would imagine.
