Okay so everyone loves to bash Idra for being BM and I'll be honest I've done it because sometimes what he says is just damn hilarious. But what I want to know is why is this acceptable I've seen posts that are anti Idra that if they were to change the name from Idra to Nony for instance they'd probably get a temp ban.
Don't get me wrong I've seen Nony do some pretty bad BM it's not as common but it happens what happened that made Idra the acceptable target but other foreigners are still out of bounds. It's really been bothering me recently the double standard of "Don't talk like that about foreigner X" while people are free to namecall Idra all they want. I mean the guy is living in the CJ house he's a good player if he wasn't he wouldn't be there.
I'm pretty sure that if you surfed through the replay packs for the TSL you could find some really funny BMs by other players in the TSL. I've already found several instances that had me rolling in my chair so why is it not okay to go and bash these players but we can Idra?

When your average BW fan sees BM from a player like Nony, they feel uncomfortable and ignore it and don't post anything about it. When Idra BMs, it's totally expected and so any kind of awkwardness is gone and everyone feels free to laugh at the BM / laugh at Idra.

I think everyone got used to the extensive Idra-bashing (which in many cases was actually deserved). I don't know if it's actually a double standard, but the increased tolerance to Idra-bashing is because he created a notoriety around his name, and people come to expect the shit-talk.
I don't think it's a double standard since Idra seems the only exception
Also it's mad fun reading what some people spit up in their nerdrages

IdrA is a flamboyantly abrasive character who handles losses terribly. he gets flamed because everytime he is asked anything about anyone he says the most negative thing he can think of while trying to be "funny."
He is my friend and a GOOD GUY but online, in this community, he is a douche (most of the time) and deserves the flames he gets.

btw greg gave g5 a beta key.. pure and simple. he does amazingly nice things all the time too.. so the people that take his mouth as ALL he is are in the wrong. but he deserves the negative attention.. and I'd doubt he'd say otherwise.

I've only watched White-ra's replays and I can honestly say that he is the most GM player EVER... Not once did I see him BM someone even when he got cheesed.

Idra doesn't make much of an attempt to be diplomatic or nice online in addition to his spurts of bm so it becomes ok to make fun of him or joke around for the bm stuff he does.
Real life he's not like that but it doesn't have any bearing.
