PS always crashes at the most inconvenient times.
I was making a wallpaper of YoonJoong (My favorite progamer)
I had the layout all finished and was importing a font to make the text, when all of a sudden PS just shuts down (and doesn't save any progress ofc).
I had saved, but lost maybe half an hour to 45 minutes of work.
Has anyone else had this problem? It just shut down inexplicably and gave a brief, nondescript error message. Based on the way it happened, I suspect it's somehow linked to a problem with the fonts. I'm using photoshop CS3 on an intel imac running 10.4.11.
When I remake the wallpaper, I'll post it to add at least a little content to this blog.
Also, if anyone wants me to make them a progamer wallpaper, I'll be glad to take suggestions.
edit: Here's the wallpaper! click for full size. Photo cred: the ever-talented NeverGG.

It doesn't really help your crashing problem, but I suggest getting in the habit of hitting Ctrl+S (replace with mac save shortcut) every half minute or so. I do a lot of work in apps like that and I save a couple times a minute without thinking about it. This makes crashes meaningless. Just make sure you also save a copy of the file every hour or so as backup.

Photoshop usually saves for me when it crashes, which it does on occasion.
Nice wallpaper, the stroke around shuttle looks a bit strange though. Perhaps tinker with it or remove it?

I'm going to assume that your Photoshop CS3 was torrented (if it wasn't ignore my post)
I had this problem a while ago too. What I suggest is to uninstall and reinstall. Pirated copies of CS3 always crash at random times. I eventually got sick and tired of it crashing so I asked for one at my school and installed it
No crash since then~

why would you use CS3 anyway, its the worst and most user unfriendly version since the graphic suite came along.
Good work on the WP whou

Haha it's actually a legit copy (what are the odds?), but I might try to uninstall/reinstall anyways. Thanks for the tip.

No money to upgrade and a misguided sense of honor that keeps me from torrenting it >_<

reinstall. I am not on an intelmac, but it fucking does this shit all the time to us. And save frequently!!
