Hello,
I'd like to get something like this on my arm
+ Show Spoiler +
But I feel like the design is a bit too rough, and not subtle enough. I like the idea of lines and strokes, just like this one:

But this one is too girly indeed.
So I'd like the help of someone who could adapt the designs, even if it costs money to do so, I'm willing to get a clean and subtle arm tatoo with nice lines. It should start on the shoulder and end below the elbow, and be nice :D
Anyone can help ?

my troll alarm bells are ringing but in case this is serious it's our duty as a community to make sure you don't get anything that remotely looks like that first tattoo

Ahhhh serious indeed. :-)

unfortunatly, all i bring to the table is agreeing with nazgul '-'

i think the skull-butterfly and the paint blotches look really cool. if you are a girl, however, i think the arm line thingy will look terrible

Not a girl, that's why I say the second one is too girly, however, the lining work is amazing, skip the girly touch and it can turn into something good.

A tattoo should have meaning behind it not just some random lines going down ur arm, however if u want something that looks cool only (and dont care for the meaning) go with a 3d tattoo and have the lines be something like veins exposed, or machinery.
Google 3d tattoos if you havent seen anything like this before, some ppl can create pretty amazing stuff.

Subtle and regarding the meaning, you make a point however, I'm not sure that the things that mean something to me today will be as meaningful in 15 years.
However, something that I like to watch (and I'm not a teen so I know what I like), I might still like looking at it in 10 years if its well done.
Meaningful stuff or often very emotionnal or depressing, I dont want that on my body.

You are better off going to the artist that you actually want to do the tattoo. That way, you can see what it would actually look like coming from his/her hands. I've seen things that look awesome when sketched by one person that get butchered by the actual artist. For something like this, which isn't exactly a common type of tattoo, you'd prolly wanna go that route.
If you have no tattoos yet, ask your friends where they got theirs. This is more for NA reference, so maybe you find some local site in your country on good artists: http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3184952
At the very least, you can get an idea of what will and won't work on your skin, etc.
My personal opinion, I am not crazy about those style of tats. But if you're gonnna go with it, go with the thicker lines, they look more masculine. For more tattoo info on TL, talk to {88}incontroll or fuddx
