- First I want to say that I appreciate you guys letting me on on this Beta. I have been a long time fan.
I have a concern about the pricing of the Protoss units. A zealot costs 100 minerals. For the same price one could get two marines, or four zerglings. Not to mention the speed at which these units can be produced vs the protoss setup. I find that this is unbalanced. 1 protoss zealot does not seem to pack the same punch as say two marines or four zerglings. Also considering their lack of range, and lack of ability to produce quickly, and you have a quandary. It seems to me that early game toss are at a severe disadvantage.
Perhaps I haven't yet acquired the right strategy for the early toss game. It feels to me like a terran player or a zerg player could waltz into a toss base and just wreck the place without much trouble. Perhaps dialing down the cost to produce or dialing up the toughness and dmg of this unit would fix the balancing issue.
I would like to play each race some more to be sure I am not just assuming something after only having my hands on it for a day.

- I would say that in these rush matches, you really aren't "beta testing" anything. How is the fighting in the original staring areas and how good are marines zealots and zerglings is all we are finding out. I understand fully that it is part of the game, I've played SC for years, but you really can't beta test crap when it takes longer to find a group than it does to actually play the game.
Yes i understand the whole concept of "LEARN TO MACRO BETTER", but i think the OP is trying to get across is that there are other aspect of the game to try out and having rushing in 9 outta 10 matches really defeats that.

you know what's worse? 95% of Blizzcon attendees are WoW nerds. Most of which won't even play/install SC2 beta. there are some that will try it out but not get into it for a number of reasons and go back to wow

I would think if keys aren't used or become inactive they would replace them with more opt ins.

Unfortunately it is in Blizzard's interrest to make game that will be played by as many people as possible so they took in also retards that don't even know what do they want.
Seriously, this anti-rush guy is just an example of casual and maybe he will be satisfied by stupid custom games 15minNoRushPlx, but the other guy taking about balance off his ass? Just like my friend argued with me and told that SC has less strategical and tactical depth than Supreme Commander because longest range unit can hit for only whole screen but in SupCom you can hit for like half a map with most unit, so the game is more flexible o.o
