I guess it's just the realizition that I only beat a nub while I tought I was doing great. And I can't learn anything from such a game. I did a lurker backstab for instance, I don't know when it's viable exactly, and now I still don't.

Why? Because it helps me learn to spend my money better, it shows me what I'm doing wrong and try to do it better next game. Then again, I'm D- and terribad, but thats just my view on it. Usually end up adding more rax to get moneys down and try to make up for terrible macro.

Imagine the noob who says he can't survive 5 minutes unless he cuts scvs at 10 so he can get 2 barracks and a couple marines at his choke faster. He should learn to survive without cutting SCVs.

Straw man argument. Should I macro even If that means I can't burrow my lurkers? edit: You shouldn't be too focused on anything. I think at the D level we were playing at, he was too focused on his perfect macro. And yes he was too focused at it, i watched the rep and he never queued.

Miss a production round? Don't worry you can just build two units at the same time!

I would try not to queue up more than 2 units (really that's ok in lategame if you're using bio tvz, micro is still quite important there - you should know how I mean that), and if there still is money left over I would add more production facilities.

The point I was making is that you're trading long term development for short term success. Every time someone illustrates their point doesn't mean they're committing a straw man argument. You're committing a fallacy yourself anyway, by attacking what you perceive to be a weak part of my argument and then dismissing the rest as if it depended on it. Maybe consider retaking Philosophy 101 ![]()
