Anyway, I've been MIA since November now and there are a couple of things I wanted to chat about regarding the future.
+ I was offered a full time job this week by Kespa maintaining their English language site and also aiding the referees in learning English.
However, I will have to decline their kind offer since I have just signed on with my school for a second year. I cannot break contract because that would risk being deported. Also I prefer the stability of a teaching job to the unpredictability of eSports based careers.
+ As I mentioned I have signed on for a second year. I believe this will be my last year in Korea due to my health problems and issues with feeling burnt out and isolated.
Therefore the following is going to happen before January 2011;
~ I will conclude all projects left outstanding.
~ As of January 2011 all fancafes will be closed or reassigned to other people.
~ I will photograph as many events as I feel able to until January 2011.
~ I will continue to be active on TL, but apologize for concluding my on-site photography and reporting.
+ Due to a total lack of communication upon their part and issues with readership/translation I do consider my internship with Fomos to have reached a conclusion. I am saddened by this fact, but neither party is well equipped enough to deal with the language barriers.
+ Now the final issue is;
I am having problems going back. After the longest hiatus I have ever had from attending/photographing/reporting on events in over two years I am feeling anxious about how much I have missed.
So if anyone has any advice for how to find my motivation and get over these nerves - or just any general questions about what on Earth is going on/any other issues then please comment here and I'll do my best to reply.
Thank you again for your patience and understanding and hopefully 2010 will be a healthier year for me. (I've just come out of a severe sinus infection so fingers crossed!)
