So, we all know the little monster is tearing it up again. Lee Young Ho is on somewhat of a rampage, but I didn't know exactly HOW much of one until I looked at his TLPD page... 21-2 since the beggining of the new season (Proleague, OSL and MSL). That's just silly!

Also, the games he has dropped are to Stork and BeSt, two absolute PvT powerhouses (with BeSt somewhat returning to form).

Seriously though, he's playing some absolutely sick SC and he's nearing 70% career winrate with the match ups: 72.73% vT, 69.23% vZ and 65.74% vP. If any normal player had even one of those he'd be considered an expert vs that race, Flash has has a complete set...

Anyway, enough statistics; i'd kill to see Flash vs Jaedong right now. I really can't predict what would happen, even though Jaedong had a "slump" he seems to be playing well again. It's as close to a perfect starcraft match as I can imagine.

I probably sound like a terrible Flash fanboy at this point even though I consider myself more of a Stork/Jaedong fan . Anyway, that was pretty much my first blog, just wanted to see what everyone else thought; Flash or Jaedong (who would win right now?)?

I'm fairly sure Flash would win in that game because the mechanics he's had drilled into him through years of child labor rape everything that is thrown at him. While jaedong may be a more strategic and intelligent player, flash would overpower him with the slight difference in macro capabilities that must exist between the two of them.

Flash has been better recently but I still think Jaedong finds a way to bring the clutch in these situations. So I'm going to have to go with Jaedong.

Im a huge Flash fanboy, but Jaedong seems to know how to beat him regularly. He's like Flash's kryptonite.

Flash would run over Jaedong. Flash's TvZ is just awesome.

I'd still give the top PvT'ers at least a 50% shot at beating Flash.

Can't wait to see his new TvP strat though.

I dunno, even in Flash's hotstreaks Jaedong has always found a way to beat him. Although Flash's new builds do seem to counter aggressive styles nicely (with his weird moving out timings), I think Jaedong would adapt fairly well. Plus Flash may forget to build turrets, you never know . I must agree though that Flash's TvZ looks unstoppable at the moment, literally the only player I see doing it is Jaedong.

although i do love flash, he commonly gets these 'wow hes going to own everyone' moments, whereas jaedong tends to be a lot more solid over a long term period. aside from this, flash has been clearly practicing his TvZ a loooot. jaedong on the other hand has barely played any televised ZvT. maybe this means that jaedong's skills for his match with flash in the near future wont be up to par. after all, look at what happened with flash's TvP after so long of not playing televised matches for it. although i just said that flash and jaedong are different in terms of the variation of their skill over time, this is still a possibility.

i hope for flash to win anyway =]

With Flashs recent TvZ performances, I would give him a little bit of an edge right now.

However, the build Flash uses recently is kind of risky I believe. He goes 1 Rax into FE, but he doesn't always build marines the moment the Rax finishes, and blocks early attacks with very few marines and some SCVs (See Flash vs Kwanro and Flash vs Type-B in OSL i.e.). It should depend on the map and his scouting information though, but knowing Flashs history, he would take a lot of risks to gain a slight economic advantage, which he may easily transform into overwhelming wins due to his great macro and decision making.

But being the agressive monster JD is, I can definitly see how he finds a way to abuse Flashs build with early aggression, maybe 9pool speed or some kind of two hatch Lurker. We all know, if anyone can find a way to dismantle Flash, it is JD. And I wouldn't use the fact that he did not play too much ZvT recently against him, because all his wins have been quite convincing. After the 3 losses to Fantasy in august, he only dropped one game to Hwasin. I am sure he will be in very good shape.

I just hope they split leagues this season, that would be awesome. Whoever wins the OSL-game needs to get his revenge in the MSL in a Bo5

I also suspect Flash has the edge on their match. He hasn't lost an official game to a zerg since August, which is impressive (15 game winstreak or something?) but during that time he also hasn't played any noteworthy zergs, so its tough to say how good he really is. He has been looking great for sure but the match with Jaedong should finalize if he really is amazing or if its just been playing vs mediocre opponents.

The upcoming Flash vs JD series will be the true test of his skill. Flash's opponents lately haven't exactly been "mediocre" (unless you think Yarnc and type-B have terrible ZvT -_-), but JD is a different level and JD has consistently won their last meetings.

Also, while Flash's tear has truly been awesome, I have concerns over the state of his TvP. In that period you mentioned, he's 1-2 against Protoss. Sure, those two losses were to some of the very best PvT players out there right now and both of them played wickedly good, but unless Flash beats a few big name Protosses, I wouldn't put him up as a favorite right now against any top PvTer.

It's Flash's TvT that in my mind stands as undisputed. He's been king of that match-up for what, two years now? The only other gamer in history to have this kind of dominance in TvT was early years NaDa, but Flash shows no signs of winding down. At this point he's probably the best TvTer of all time.

My liquibet will be Flash over Jaedong. I really want Jaedong to win a diamond mouse...but I'd rather Flash win an OSL.

hoping for a stork-flash OSL final rematch where flash showcases his new tvp strat but stork solves it just in time by brilliantly countering it with carriers in the ace match then the whole crowd goes zomfg yeah.
