Watch me (and help me) go from Bronze to ?? in StarCraft 2. (I was up to Gold in 2010...but have been away from the game since then.)
I occasionally stream other games as well...
and will also be streaming 2-4 player games with my children ... on their hunt to become amazing gamers!
PLEASE let me know how my stream quality is looking/behaving...I have pretty high end hardware...
but currently only streaming in 480p as Twitch won't come near the speeds of my 100Mb down / 10Mb up connection...
I occasionally stream 2v2, custom SC2 maps or other games as well, but SC2 1v1 is the lion's share.
Current Goals:
- No matter what's happening, to always have a probe building from my nexus(es), and not queue more than 1-1.5 at each.
- Every time I build a probe(s)...I want to check if I can build from all production buildings, check the minimap, and check supply.
(Even if this has me making poor choices in unit composition, etc...I'll rely on my instincts/current understanding for those & just macro like crazy)
- Always hold a top 8 position. (forget about "building up" bonus pool)
My story:
I'm doing this to prove that one can go from Bronze to Master's.
The first RTS I played was SC1, including Brood War. I was always deathly afraid to play online, so I just played around with my 2 brothers & a few friends. We mostly played BGH (Big Game Hunters)
We probably didn't play more than 100 games total back in those days, but I still LOVED the game.
I was extremely intimidated to play 1v1 when SC2 came out, but was sort of forced to as I was part of the SC2 beta. (there was no campaign or other multiplayer options available) This kind of "broke me in" and got me more used to playing 1v1.
I was so serious about SC2 that I even hired a few coaches early on, including the great Geoff "iNcontroL" Robinson. Even though I had already been playing Protoss, I had a long discussion with Geoff about what user abilities are most needed for the different races...and I decided to stick with Protoss.
(I would LOVE to play random to learn all parts to the game...but it seems that sticking to 1 race is the best way to get to play at the highest levels of one's ability/training)
I currently watch Day9, almost all of the big tourneys, and several of the top Protoss player's streams.
The TL community is amazing and I plan to grab any and all input/coaching I can get from any knowledgeable players watching my stream.
If you're watching my stream and have any questions...or you want quick answers to improving your own game...feel free to ask! (I'll check my chat after every game)
I'll likely stream with music - mostly techno, video game music, and pretty much anything else that has high energy.
I'll also likely stream with my webcam, and I'll do my best to commentate. (although I'm currently really bad at talking while I'm playing...but I'll be better able to as my mechanics & skills rise)
I'm a certified life coach, entrepreneur, and internet marketer, and literally here is the purpose of my life:
The purpose of my life is to love, to enjoy the journey, and to inspire, teach and serve others.
If there's anything I can do to serve you, whether it's getting a laugh because my play is so bad/I tell a funny joke, or whether you're inspired because I make a comeback from a game I had for sure "lost"...those are examples of things that help me fulfill my purpose.
PS - The foundation of my belief that ANYONE can get to Master's...the Success Formula:
Success = Skills x Action
I will be directly applying the Success Formula by always improving my SC2/RTS skills, as well as always taking massive action.
To YOUR Ultimate Success!
