ejozl Denmark3463 Posts September 05 2019 20:27 GMT #5 I love LotV, it's the best one. The music is soooooo good. Alarak has become my favourite Starcraft character. There was cool gameplay innovations. Difficulty was good. Story was while I didn't follow it super closely, not glaringly bad. It really hit the Protoss feel right on the nose, they did an incredible job on that. The Prologue was dog shit. Wings was good, with a very thought out achievement system and it obviously set the bar, so I don't have too much to say about this installment. HotS was really dull, the story wasn't good and the difficulty was the lowest and by this point we even had gotten some SC2 skills from playing Wings. Supersaiyan Kerrigan also kind of took away from the strategic calls you had to do.. With how low the difficulty was there was almost no strategy and became super dull. I'm pretty sure I beat the final mission on Brutal and with all mission achievements at the same time and one of them was winning the game in 5 min or so. This was even without really knowing what the mission was about.. Yikes.. There are also some of the music tracks that I don't like.

Kerrigan totally OP.. well, I felt somewhat cheated I suppose. My expectations were very high and HoTS didn't live up to it. LoTV was ok, for sure more interesting than HoTS, but also nothing special I felt. Maybe I should give it another go. I'm playing HoTS again right now every now and then. Not included in the vote is the Nova Covert Ops mini campaign. I thought that one was really good! I wish Blizzard would make more of those. I'd pay for it.

Yurie 11977 Posts September 08 2019 08:52 GMT #12 Enjoyed HotS the most. The levelling system made it more interesting than WoL. Last campaign was pretty bland I feel. Though by the time the last campaign came out I had stopped playing the game, so that might influence it.

I hated the scripting in Lotv, like if you split your army 3 ways and start to explore missions you just trigger all the triggers at once and get overrun. So you have to turtle und go one way at a time, very boring. Don't remember WoL being that bad with that. I did like parts of the story of Lotv, but they just threw in everything there so there was something to like for everyone I think... And then they took this giant dump on sc2 with the epilogue which made me not buy the nova missions. WoL>>>>>Lotv>>>Hots>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Epilogue

The evolution missions and either-or choice made it so fun to decide what units to use, especially since there's no turning back once you make the choice. Also, it was exciting to watch Raynor and Kerrigan join forces in the end.

Khalimaroth France70 Posts September 11 2019 08:17 GMT #17 For me they had a lot of possibilities to write a lot of interesting stuff after the WoL campagn, but they screw it up with this stupid love story in HotS and this stupid alliance in LotV. Starcraft is wild, noone is a good guy, everything turns bad in the end, and here in SC2 no, we had a random kawai story. The HotS and LotV campagn is the worst stuff in SC2 in my starcraft fan opinion. Level design are very good in the other hand. glhf

Koektrommel Netherlands47 Posts September 11 2019 09:34 GMT #18 WoL was the only one where I felt like I was playing starcraft. The other two had too much fluff making it feel like different games entirely. Which can be fun, but it's not what I'm looking for when I buy starcraft.
