On a scale of 1 (lowest) to 5 (highest), how do you rate the major design patch for SC2? :

Demuslim's analogy of the test patch during Homestory Cup - where he compared SC2 to Alien vs Predator and used this analogy to talk about how weak Terran was - was on point. I also agreed with Stephano's observations where he called the Infestor rework broken.

As a Terran who has always preferred playing mech in TvT and TvZ I got kinda excited for the patch, but it's not as much fun anymore as too much stuff is available too early for the other races due to the economy of LotV and the ability to turtle is severely hampered, which I know a lot of people would argue is a good thing, but just look at it this way: Cheese is a legit way to win a game, so why is turtling not? Forcing a player to play on your terms by deflecting his harrass attempts always felt good for me, but now there's just too much mobility involved. At least having the ability would promote diversity in playstyles, but doing it effectively is so hard nowadays. Playing against proxy two gate every other game or having to 2-base push a greedy Protoss who's just teching hardcore with an early third doesn't feel as amazing, either. Gameplay currently feels too shoehorned for me, Terran is always on some kind of timer whereas Protoss and Zerg can tech to these very hard to beat late game t3 armies to almost ensure a win with you having to rely on them making a huge mistake army composition-wise to stand a chance. Yeah, I know, mass Raven was kinda frustrating to deal with, but Terran didn't have much else available for late game as going for BCs is still kinda hard to do aside from TvT. Removal of the MSC and the inherent buff of the Stalker was a good thing, though. Making Hydras viable is also a good goal, but they're a little bit too good, I think. I really wonder if we ever get to the point were the game is in a balance state that requires little to no further adjustments by the dev team so players can just evolve the meta by their strategies much like BW or if we will get more major patches every year until the end of the game's lifespan.

Yes I get the whole Mech issue but man, you can mine drop, cloack banshee, medivac drop, helion runby, hellbats, liberators and not to mention all the maps having decent spots to abuse tanks, now you can adapt to that or just wait for blizzard to adapt to you, your choice. I find out getting late vs. Terran can be the most difficult, atleast get there without being behind. Well, listing a bunch of stuff you can do and units you can build doesn’t actually mean all of this is effective to do against decent opponents.

Are you saying none of that is effective? I just watched gsl where TY and Gumiho qualified, I recommend you watch that and then see if its effective, it kinda was!

Yet you seem to think that turtling is? You completely do have the option to turtle as long as you keep pressure on the opponent at the same time. I don't understand your complaint. Blizzard should not be aiming to make every goddamn strat possible in every match up. I never seem to remember people complaining in BW that they couldn't go bio vs protoss. There are too many variables to balance every possible style.
