My vote would go for "Yes, several minor patches over a long period of time, ensuring a fine-tuning of balance.", but that wasn't an option.

I've answered that it needs an overhaul specificly because I want to see highground playing out similarly as it did in sc1 (but less random) and they need to change worker priority back to low so that people can start using workers defensively again without throwing the game away.

The reason sc1 became a game of economy and how to get away with as much economy as you can without dying was because of ramp advantage and worker priority. You knew your workers could be used to defend and the backside of that was that you weren't mining with them, not that they died instantly.

Absolutely. Not even with regards to balance there are sooooo many game-changing bugs right now that need to be fixed that Blizzard seems to be ignoring.

Balance-wise of course it needs a ton of work. The fact that zerg mines faster with 15 drones than protoss does with 24 probes combined with their insanely potent macro mechanic combined with the fact that zerglings are faster than workers even without speed and not on creep so that it is literally impossible to scout until you have air units makes Zerg such a joke.

It is quite true! I remember seeing a thread on mining rates of workers. Although I can't be bothered to search for it as I already know the info. In SCI the probes mine faster than drones which mine faster than SCVs.

Voted on Overhaul, but overall i think as it is the game is well (from general RTS standpoint, and in view of future balance changes due to expansions/patches) balanced and Minor changes should suffice for release, but i sincerly hope there will be some major overhaul on high ground advantage and damage/armor bonuses.

The way the game is now is fun but there is much more room for improvement IMHO.

I don't see that as bad, thing. Actually it's nice that there is more diversity between the races *but* it is of course harder to balance.
What matters is not the perfect numerical balance but actual balance in number of possible strategies, relation of timings in army strenght/tech progres by diffrent races or maps and general diversity of game play styles avilble (viable for winning at pro level) for players. If blizzard can achive that having imbalanced worker mining times, supply counts, or any simmilar feature, i'm fine with that.

I wouldnt have a problem with zerg workers mining faster, if you couldnt get a lot of them
but with the larvae mechanic, you can get a fuckton early on and just switch to roach or ling really fast if you need to, unlike in sc1, where switching actually takes at least some time

I would like to see old TvP with mech instead of mmm with protoss having good weapons against t1 units ht, collosus and instead of nerfing ht blizz should try and make it like in sc1.. Basically now hts are only good against mmm balls. They had a more varied role in sc1.
Its much more interesting and strategic and I dont like blob vs blob play
IdrA: stalkers actually do negative damage. when you shoot a marine with a stalker it gains health.
