Second in this group is likely to face France in ro16, I'd say this loss can be very significant for Argentina. Obviously, they can still finish first by beating both Mexico and Poland, but this was budgeted 3 points.

In past editions I've felt the saudi players looked really undersized and frail, definitely not the case here. Strong, determined and deserved winners.

Argentina looked slow in comparison

This may help Argentina, getting that shock early so they can reappraise a bit. Alternatively it might not. Spain losing their first game to Switzerland didn’t stop them taking that edition after all.

Good to have a shock anyway for the sake of excitement!

If the ref had given that Penalty to Denmark when they ignored the obvious handball earlier in the game by Demark that stadium would have exploded with rage lol

I don't know the rules to the letter, but that Denmark handball seemed unintentional and the ball was going out of bounds anyway with no space or time for Tunisian player to make a play on it. The arm only changed the trajectory of the ball going out. Would that still be a penalty?

Exactly the same point was mentioned by ukrainian commentator, they looks more athletic and very well fit overall

imo the call for tunisian handball was no penalty while the one for denmark wouldve been one if not for the free kick.

Refereeing has been stellar so far. Love the extra time too!

Big upset. Kudos to Saudi. But I always had a feeling that game would be tough for Arg. Playing a match at 1pm local time anywhere - more so in the Middle-East - is just torture.
