But coming in and asking about why it isn't actioned might be warranted. You have to realize that there are different mods that take on reports. One report might be 100% actionable in the eyes of one mod while the same report might look a bit less actionable to another. Obviously, we try and reduce that variance as much as possible. Anyways, my point with my post was that not a single person even reported that post you guys mentioned earlier.

It's this post by leporello: http://www.liquidhearth.com/forum/general/383301-us-politics-mega-thread?page=8598#171952 And it was reported by me. When I click the post it gives me the "this post has already been reported". I mainly read the politics thread on the hearthstone page, maybe that's the issue? EDIT: In most cases I would just move on, but when a new line for moderation seems to be set in place I feel it is only reasonable to ask why so that the quality of reporting can improve. That way the moderation team also gets fewer reports to handle.

edit: the report is on the sister site but it hasn't been actioned yet. Going to have to wait until someone actions it then lol.

![]() EDIT: Maybe it was worth considering? No idea how reasonable a suggestion it is.

R1ch would know more in that case.

Nah, merely shared report system for the shared forums (i.e. General) On September 01 2017 03:43 KadaverBB wrote: Take these concerns to Website Feedback please ![]() I thought I was in Website Feedback ![]()

Regardless, this is interesting though. Guess it explains why we only get so many SC Pol reports here.

Side note, if we aren't sure about whether something is threadworthy or not could we post it here and ask?

I agree that the post from leporello is actionable. I'm on vacation and haven't been reading the thread (1300 unread messages is kind of a mountain to climb), but if I had seen a user complaint about that post, I would've done something - and in general, I'm about the most lenient mod on the site. zlefin, you need to calm down. If you are angry, do not post. This applies to pretty much any type of conversation, both online and offline. It's extremely hard to be reasonable while being angry, and it's very rare for unreasonable posts to spur productive discussion.

It doesn't even wiggle the needle of thread norms with regards to pointed argumentation. It's absolutely desirable because people like ChristianS thought the point was tautological, and it obviously wasn't given all the controversy. He learned something. Kwark goes off trolling in his "0% illegal immigration hypothetical" and so do two or three others, which sorta underscores the entire reason for bringing it up. If you have to represent the point in bad faith or talk around the point, chances are it's a tough topic for one ideological bastion.

We're not refusing to talk about it, on the contrary we're making a much more good faith attempt to discuss it than xDaunt's silly "are you in favour of crime?" deserved.
