Hi everyone.
I can list the good posters left on these forums on one hand. In no particular order,
1. casper
2. newbsaibot
3. sickoflife
4. frozenarbiter
5. moltke
The staff members, as well as bigballs and nony, go without saying.
What ever happened to these forums? Not so long ago, I used to enjoy coming here and browsing and reading through just about every thread.
If you're not on this list, the next time you make a post you should stop and think to yourself, 'Does this post have a point? Does it obey the 10 commandments?'
If it doesn't, then don't click that post button and save us all the migraine.
Opinions? Comments? Post away.

in related news your list is bullshit, 2 of those posters suck ass and there are OBVIOUSLY more than 5 (+ admins etc) good posters on this site. also in your request for people to follow the ten commandments you fail to take into account that no-one cares if they are or arent on your list anyway...

My list is purely subjectional. My point isn't that there are only 5 good posters on this forum, but rather for every handful of good posts there is a mountain of horrible shitty posts. I'm not asking for more bans, just a closer watch on these forums. If bad posts were minimized, quality discussion might some how creep its way back into the community. At least, that's the logic behind my thinking.

No, you're wrong. There are only 5 good posters that still visit these forums. Everyone wants to be on my list and thus they will listen to what I have to say.
My list is just personal opinion. It's not a definitive list. The point behind making it is to say that a good majority of the content of this site is horrible and uninteresting. If people were to just take a look at the 10 commandments then actually follow them, the quality of these forums would dramatically increase as far as I'm concerned.
Mensrea and the rest of the admin team didn't create the 10 commandments for ornamental purposes (or at least, I hope.)

My point is: in order to post this, I assume you must think you're on someone's 5 good posters list. Otherwise, you would know that you're not obeying the 10 commandments and therefore wouldn't post such thing as "Does it obey the 10 commandments?".

How is this relevant to anything? Stop acting like this forum is your personal playground and that the admins are shitty janitors or something. It's annoying.
On the same token, you're a poster, do whatever the fuck you want but just remember that others will too and there is no point in trying to regulate that unless you are an administrator. Then I could spend time trying to tell you how to better spend your time but then that would be both stupid and redundant.
Oooh, I posted my opinion, let me go and check off the ten commandments to make sure I did not make a mistake.
Edit: I've been a registered user since November 2002 but I have visited this site since September 2002. I have only once, ONCE recommended that a person be banned. At least to an admin and seriously.

If I were to list the best posters on this forum, it would never include you or most of the people on your list. If you admit that posting quality is "subjectional" (did I mention unintelligent?), and clearly it is given the lack of consensus of most replies here, then your view of how this forum is getting worse is subjective as well, which is why I'm wondering why you assume the majority of posters here share your opinion. (I'll give you a hint: they don't!)

Now we have eveyrone flaming in this thread which does not vouch for the quality of this forum.The said the quality has indeed decreased, for two reasons mainly - 1) fewer interesting people, and 2) reduced interest for starcraft.
There are still quite a few interseting people on the forums but fewer than before.

While most people don't like me much, I used to contribute a lot. However, all the new people posting who really don't know what they're talking about, as well as lots of flaming anytime I try to argue something (because people disagree with me to the point of not really listening to what I have to say : ) made me lose interest in posting here. I still read the live game reports, and a few threads here and there.

this is the wrong attitude (wanting to risk banning good posters in order to attempt a utopia). doing that is like utilitarianism, killing 1 for the 99 and so on until you have 1 person left.
a real sacrifice would be giving people room to grow and learn from mistakes instead of hoping everyone appears on this forume exactly to one person's liking.
