Only if he never casts like he did at DH again. There are better options out there for pure casting anyway.
I'm curious how NASL will be the next season. Didn't a few players say they didn't like the format of NASL?

the boy is smart, he needs to find out this year if he is any good at all. if not, move on to his next phase of his career. god know there is very little money in sc2 compared to other stuff he can use his brain for!

Abit sad but understandable, really enjoyed your commentating, gl with your gaming Incontrol

Great to see iNcontrol putting more into upping his game. I can't wait to watch all the streaming he'll do! :D
Good luck, Goeff!

Incontrol has always been really good at leaving risky business endeavors at the right time. He did it first with the SC2 guide and then with the SC2 coaching (just search for that stuff on the archives). NASL is probably on a really bad spot right now (a 5000 euros tournament like HomeStory racks up to 20000 viewers while the NASL does what, half of that?) , so he can't be blamed for taking some distance from it.

His oh so much praised "high level analysis" is not there anymore as he is not an active top player and his casing style just not my thing at all. I know it's against the general consensus but I dont think Day9 should be casing NASL. But this thread is not about casters.
Incontrol really seems to have a history of starting endeavours and then leaving the sinking ship pretty early. I dont want to blame him or anything, but there seems to be a pattern. I dont feel like the NASL will be successful: Production value is really bad (just look at the graphics - they look like they were taken from some total annihilation website of the late 90s) considering what GSL, Dreamhack, MLG or IPL do. The format is extremely boring. Who wants to watch months of group play where there is nothing on the line and even if it is, it doesnt feel like it? Gretorps casting, although he seems like an OK guy is just not acceptable for a commercial league. If the finals tournament is not absolutely amazing, I feel they will have to close down on the long run. But who knows, maybe they will find some genious unknown caster
I do think Incontrol learned from the experience and will not be so eager to put his name on everything in the future. Despite all the negativity in this post, I'm really looking forward to see him again as a top player and hopefully (you can still hope) also on SotG (please?). Wish you the best of luck, Geoff!

Can we have the amazing combo of Gretorp and TotalBiscuit again?
If not that then please DjWheat and Day9.

Papa bear is living his dream, good for him.

Myb he really just sees that he spends to much time with something but not the game itself. i whish him the best and myb soon some great results again.

Why is everyone saying Day9 wouldn't be a great addition to NASL? You must be out of your minds, ppl.

Why was this user warned for this post? You could interpret it as a troll, or you could think of it as "it's nice to see iNcontroL follow his dream of being a pro gamer, not a caster," like I did.
Or maybe the mod thinks NASL is a joke and projected that onto his warning without thinking?

Why even as a troll? I think its NICE as well. IMO the league will improve because of this and I'm very happy iNcontrol is leaving. I don't see why he was warned.

Oh noo, I love iNcontroL's casts. I guess it makes sense for his career as a pro gamer to focus on playing without having to spend time casting and preparing for casts. Good luck in future tournaments!

good luck with the pro house m8 , hope it pays off huge for you

Because its basically a 0 content post I guess? My acount its not really that old and I know mods don´t like posts like that.
Anyways, good to hear that from Incontrol. I feel pretty conflicted because I really liked his coaching but its obvious its eating a lot of his practice time.
And LOL, people a league is always less exciting than a tournament, what a league aims to do is create constant content for a constant viewership. I mean, NASl has a pretty good constant number of viewers(I think its a super cool model because now I can watch SC almost daily) but of course the regular season its not going to be able to compete with stuff like Dreamhack or MLG.
Its like comparing Playoffs to the superbowl, they are 2 different beasts.
good luck to Incontrol

The warning text showed up there accidentally.

From a caster standpoint I'm sad to see him leave. iNcontroL is a great caster and always makes me smile when he goes all out when something happens in a match he is casting.
But on the other hand, respect that he goes for the game first and foremost. I hope this choice brings him fortune!
