If it's not caster bashing, it's a one worded post with a smily, something that often slips through, but sometimes gets banned as well.

I hope iNcontrol goes back to doing some sotg, even though afaik EG won't let him.
Best of luck in providence as well. I hope he'll show for the next dreamhack winter as well so I can come up and say hi ^^

I'm a very big iNcontrol fan. I love his personality and how he speaks his mind. The reason I like Geoff are for those things and those alone. Don't get me wrong, I will cheer for him, but I'm a fan of his not because he's a SC2 player but because he promotes SC2, is a good caster only getting better and because of SoTG.

Now that he's left NASL, which he promoted, and SoTG which he was a huge contributor to, I feel like he's making the wrong decisions. Sure everyone wants to strive for their dreams but in reality I believe Geoff is nearly at his SC2 playing ceiling. 4th place at an MLG is a huge accomplishment and I don't see him getting much better placing in major tournaments than that. I really feel Geoff's skills really are in broadcasting and promotion. It is admirable that he wants to fully explore what he feels his potential is and hope I'm wrong. Maybe I'm just bummed I'll be hearing him less.

I'm not a Geoff hater in the slightest but i wish he would own his position in the SC2 community.

I think every pro player is realising that they cannot be a full time caster and compete at the highest level. Also, with the EG gaming house, it will be impossible for him to cast the games live.

I think for InControl, this is a good move. He wants to be the best player and take on the best. Huk showed us how much time that takes at Dreamhack. He is just making a choice on what is most important to him. I just hope he remains in the public eye, because is enteraining both playing and not.

It's a bummer for NASL. They have had some real caster quality problems. I am not kidding when I say that Incontrol was the life of the show and the reason I tuned in. I will have to see what comes of it.

i dont care if there is more behind that story or whatsoever. its just fact that incontrol is more a player than a caster. i dont say he was a bad caster, but not a good one either. this decision seems very logical. and i would love to see him rip some more nerds appart.
and if nasl wants to become as professional as they want, they need to get better casters. and with diggity hoping by from time to time they already made a step forward in the right direction.
anyway incontrol did a very good job with that little experience and nasl became pretty solid lately.
best luck in the eg house ! dallas has shown that if he puts a lot of effort in it, he can have decent sucess.

Never been a fan of Incontrol, but he and Gretorp casting nasl actually made it unbearable for me - which is sad because other than the bizarre tourney format, the games and players are awesome.

GL to him, hopefully nasl can get some actual casters and let the players play games.

The way I see it, Incontrol had to narrow down his activities, namely choose between being a caster or a player. So I think this is a very sensible thing to do in that regard.

Should he have chosen to cut back on competitive gaming and focus on casting stuff? Who knows!

Probably, but in the end he chose what he really wanted to do. He can focus more on casting after his playing career but the other way around doesnt work.
