MLG Columbus Day 3 - Page 1022

We will be moderating harshly in this thread. Think twice before you post. Things we are watching for: image macros, balance whining, "eagles", player bashing etc. We encourage civil and reasoned critique of our moderation - please post it in the website feedback forum. Please don't complain about MLG stream quality or MLG itself. They work very hard to provide you with an enjoyable service. Enough with the racism discussions, this is a LR Thread. Cut it out. -- updated 7:55 KST

Koreans in the championship bracket were only eliminated by koreans. Top 3 is all-korean. I think it's proof enough, even if I think the foreigner pool could be a bit stronger, I don't think the results would be too different. 2.- Nani is best foreigner protoss, hands down. Idra's position as best foreigner zerg is kinda doubtful, you can't be the best with that terrible mindset. 3.- Thorzain is a great player and TSL3 wasn't a fluke at all. Sheth shows TONS of promise, as do Major and ViBe, for the foreigner scene. 4.- Koreans are better showmakers as far as gaming stuff go. This whole "MC SO BM" thing is ridiculous, he's putting up a show. This is why MC's "BM" is different from idra's. He uses it to entertain the crowd, not to randomly dish shit like Idra does all the time. We could see how MC actually feels about his opponents. He very respectfully hand shook with nani and moon, and probably T-zain as well. 5.- Tastosis is funnier that Day/WHEAT, but the latter can make games a little more exciting. 6.- This was, all in all, a GREAT EVENT. Props to MLG for surviving the Dallas disaster and becoming a lot better. Really, congratulations, you've shown balls. Agree 100%

But apparently there were DTs hacking away at idra's army that the casters didn't notice... and those of us watching on the low quality stream probably didn't notice either in the midst of all the action. If it weren't for the DTs, I'm 100% sure idra's army would have dominated the blink stalkers. Stalkers and hydras are actually very comparable in a one-versus-one engagement. With more supply in drones and queens and corruptors, maxed blink talkers could easily take out the smaller food count of hydras. Hydralisks are not good units - their hp is far too low to be viable. With lings as a meatshield (and having excellent dps themselves), hydra-ling can work quite well. Or with roaches. But pure hydralisk is too fragile.

If he's nice to other players and rags on a specific person, is he exempt? Rivalry is one thing, but after destroying Idra, why would he need to push it and just BM him yet again? You have got to be kidding me. Yes, it's somewhat ironic that Idra is extremely BM, but there was absolutely no reason for MC to be that bad-mannered towards Idra, on such a big stage, no less. Ridiculous stuff. MC defeated Idra, fair and square. He, however, should not have the right to rub salt into that wound and be a sore winner. Do you actually think that Idra would have shook MCs hadn had he won?, I somehow doubt it :p He would probably discredit MCs skill in the upcoming interview. Koreans hate Idra, atleast so it seems and it has been like that since the start of SC2(maybe earlier) and afaik it is partly because of Idras neverending BM on ladder. Dont quote me on that t hough, I might recall very wrong.
