It keeps trolling and village idiots to a minimum. What you described would be optimal, I'm all for getting rid of the trolls and morons, and tbh I haven't actually seen much (if any) on here at all which is awesome. However, a ton of legit users get warns/bans for comments that are entirely rational / are unoffensive etc, which makes me derp. User was warned for this post

Discuss it here: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=95875¤tpage=219 While the mods use warnings a tad liberally, each ban is well deserved, as far as I see it.

If you don't, it's probably better to just move on rather than making little jabs here and there at us. Your 70% "ridiculous unjustified moderator actions" cannot be true. Futher, use words please, not 'derp'.

SCA's community was more than a game, it was a community built on the freedoms of not being attatched to a professional organisation. TL is much more professional in it's approach and therefore is much stricter on things like trolling and short comments. Both have different goals in their aims which is why I lurk TL and post in SCA.

Pretty much what I think. Husky used to post here everyday last year, but he seems to have disappeared recently.

All the thoery we had was good, and usually on the level of a promoted thread on TL.

They started a community, and should have deferred ownership of the site to the community after they lost interest in it. It seems the same thing that happened to hdh2 happened to their site. In the same way they have stayed pretty much silent while occasionally dropping off a few comments that don't say much. If you add to that that they haven't done a co-cast in forever, it certainly gives fuel to the rumour about a falling out. Whether or not that is the case they should just make a decision and announced what the hell is going on so people know. If they don't want to run the site, just give the site up to people that care for it as you said.

I miss the color scheme, avatars, and sc2sigs of SCA, as well as the many replay threads where I felt I could contribute as a measly ~1700 diamond player. I'm hoping it comes back eventually. Hopin it comes back soon... TL.net, watching the GSL, youtube casts, day9, and qxc's and huk's live streams isn't enough to use up all my procrastination time, I need me some SCA as well!

I don't mean to be a troll, but I'm just wondering. As you can see from my post count, I'm very new here. Edit: Sorry about the double post.

Edit: Sorry about the double post. Each time someone whines about moderation there is never any evidence included in post. Whether this person whines about warning or bans he got or someone else got, once mods get on it, reasons for a ban or warning become pretty obvious most of the time. Mods aren't here to destroy fun, they are doing their thing to keep good quality of threads on TL. While sometimes mods can sound harsh when closing a thread, what they really want is to not let dozens of that kind of threads clutter these forums. For example homework threads aren't really allowed because (as far as I know) while they were allowed, users could go as far as flame someone for not doing their homework for them. Some people just don't understand that what is fun or natural for them is very annoying for others.
