Want to start the new year off with a bang? Well how about this - Jinro vs Idra! That's right, our homegrown Terran destroyer will take on EGIdra's savage swarm in just under a week in the GSL S1 Code S Ro32.
Jinro's last GSL bid turned out very well for him, and the top 4 finisher now aims to build on this performance and go all the way in this main GSL tournament. He stands pitted against the only other foreign Code S qualifier, Idra, and we look forward to seeing some really good games.
Gorilla Terran fighting!

HuK and HayprO in GSL Code A?
GOM is asking us who should be invited to compete in GOM Code A, and if you think that Hayder and HuK (the two Liquidians in Korea who are currently not in the GSL) should be invited, please jump right in and have your say. Remember, the more of you that vote, the likelier it is that we'll have all four Liquid players on stream in the GSL this year.
Having the entire team in the GSL also means that we'll stand a better chance of qualifying for the GOM Team League, and let's face it, everyone wants to see Liquid there!
So, what are you waiting for? Get voting!
Hi Dario, and Happy New Year! How are things going? What plans for 2011?
Hey! Things are going splendid. I never felt better or more motivated . My injury has gotten a lot a better and I have a good feeling about 2011. It’s going to be the best year of my life, I just know it.
Any new year's resolutions you'd care to share with us?
I want to live the fullest and give 2011 100%! In every regard. SC2, fitness, my private life in general.
How is your hand, and have these months helped your RSI condition in any way?
Since I started doing a lot about it, it steadily became better. I hope me playing almost fulltime again won’t make it worse again. But I will watch for that carefully.
TLO's damage dealer is rested and ready to roll.
What have you been focusing on the most in terms of your play these days?
I am back to random. And I am beginning to notice the huge advantages of it again. I can see so many more timing windows and the game has become a lot more natural and flowing for me again. I’ll try to return to a very adaptive play style.
That's interesting! Do you think you will enter as Random in tournaments too?
Of course I will. I mean there might be some race picking if allowed because I would be stupid not to. But yeah, I will enter tours as Random!
What was playing Protoss like again after all these months? What things had changed and what had stayed the same?
It felt pretty okay. PvP still seems kinda dumb, but I seem a little stronger as Protoss now, even without that much practice.
Now that you are playing it again, what do you like most about the race?
I love phoenix! they are awesome. But to be honest the fact I like about playing protoss again is, that I started to understand the matchups involving protoss again a lot more. It demystified protoss for me and now I can see its weaknesss again and exploit that!
Do you see yourself switching to a main race again or do you think Random is the way forward, even in the long run?
Not sure, I don't wanna say I am gonna be Random for the rest of my life again, as that would make me look pretty stupid if I switch again in a month or something. But right now I really enjoy it and it seems to help my play a lot. My game understanding has never been better.
Why do you think there are so few Random players around? Would you advocate Random play for up and coming gamers?
Oh every new comer should play random. It is a big misconception that random is harder. In fact for a new comer it should be easier, as copying styles is very possible. See, if you only play Terran and get owned by Protoss, many people will think at first - wow, Protoss is imbalanced... But if you play random you will sometimes play Protoss vs Terran and get owned by the Terran. Whenever that happens I always think "Great, this is fantastic, gonna do the same to the Protoss next time I am Terran myself". :D
What do you miss most about being away from the Liquid-oGs house?
I miss my fellow liquid guys the most. It’s going to be cool to meet them in events all over the world again. I really like everyone on the team so much.
In what ways do you think being at home will help your play this year?
It’s a lot easier to stay motivated, physical in good shape and practice all day here than in Korea. Because I can shape the day how want it to be and adapt my schedule to all my personal preferences.
