For their part, if the two people at IW were fired improperly, they can try and get compensation too. Have you not been following all the retarded crap activision has been doing for the past year? You should catch up on that and then you would understand why there is a lot of activision hate.

I have heard dribs and drabs of the "retarded crap", but I fail to see why it makes this lawsuit illegitimate.

I'm not surprised that Activision would do this, given the outstanding game Treyarch has produced compared to the rather lackluster MW2. Outstanding? Black Ops is a bigger blunder than Rosie O'Donnell's fashion line.

But that's a debate for another thread. Anyway I want to see Activision's sources for their evidence - apparently they somehow procured private transmissions as evidence? I dunno if that's wholly legit, but I'm no law expert either.

If what they say is 100% true, then yes, they should be compensated what they deserve. However, on that note, it's just fucking outlandish. IW didn't plot with EA to help break apart CoD and ruin Activision's Sales and then swoop into EA's gentle arms and healthy supply of Cocaine. They were not working out of greed or jealousy that Activision might be more popular. Holy shit, that's something a 6 year old says on the playground; not a multibillion dollar CEO. IW employees and owners wanted their money they deserved for their game, they didn't get it so they left, and now Activision is pissy because they were called out on it so they are trying to sue for "damages" It wont stick, and if it does, I will hate my life forever.

If so, was there some sort of guarantee that IW had if they don't get paid or did they just blindly sign on with Activision? If Activision is suing them for breach of contract and not the other way around, I just wonder how Activision is getting away with this in court...

If Activision is suing them for breach of contract and not the other way around, I just wonder how Activision is getting away with this in court... The issue came that Activision wanted IW to make MW3, but IW wanted to fix MW2 and Activision got super pissed and fired the two guys. The money was just compounded on that. Maybe that was the breach of contract? On December 22 2010 13:41 TheOne85 wrote: hopefully EA gets eliminated... Activision is a much better company not sure why you guys hate activision so much but EA just makes the same game over and over with barely any changes except graphics. Implying CoD is not the same game reskinned over and over again.
