An event is coming up that merits our collective attention. Something which South Koreans take for granted and today it is part of their every day Starcraft life. Something us foreigners have never had with the exception of WCG. A live Starcraft game will be broadcasted, both images and sound and commentated in English.

GGL will be hosting their final game, FROZ versus Evade. The event will be commented by WackSteven who what he lacks in Starcraft skill more than compensates with enthusiasm and commentating skills. This match will be hosted www.ggl.com for anyone to enjoy. They have bought extra bandwidth and the laughed at my suggestions that when the Starcraft community found out about the event their system would crash.
Of course they compare us to the counterstrike community who for quite some time now has been privy of these live VOD type broadcasts. Their reasoning is, if they can’t crash their servers nor will the Starcraft community. I guess we may prove them otherwise if the whole community shows up.

Another interesting feature is that the opponents will meet at BNet-X for the final match to keep everything clean and tidy. GGL has understood the most important rule of competitive gaming: Fair Play. Something that online is only provided by the “amateurs” like BNet-X and WGTour with their official BWscanner. If there ever was a bigger wake up call for Blizzard, this one is it. The community is begging for a fair ladder environment, keep the promise true like the Original Disc promised!
Froz from his home will meet at BNet-X with Evade from his own place. This is not their first game either at this competition. Earlier in the tournament, while both in the winners bracket, Froz beat Evade, 2-0 (ouch!) and sent him to the losers brackets. Evade has refused to go home with his loss and made it all the way to the final, apparently with a black-eye, hurt and mad, ready to face Froz again. Rematch! This is the battle we will see live commented by WackSteven.
For those of you who do not know Froz, he is the American that beat Boxer twice in Boxer’s last WCG (that he won). He has always been a solid USA player. As for Evade is less known, also from the USA, a clear underdog in this match but battle proven after the long losers brackets torment. I believe he is also known as 88)evade or Ve-S)Evade, but don’t shoot me if I am wrong. The winner will take home 1500 US $ and the loser will take home 1000 US$. Live world wide coverage, money prizes, not bad, not bad at all. What more does GGL has to do to attract our attention?
You will be able to view the match here sometime Monday, exact time to be determined. You will have to be registered so might as well register now and not at the last moment, up to you though. I do not know about you, but I am watching this one.
