Starcraft Progaming
The CJ shirt. Normally, people would see this as just any other shirt that someone would wear but this is not the case for this community. We at Teamliquid have a strong diverse community, ranging from noobs to progamers like Idra, and having people from different cultures all around the world.
When I first got into Starcraft, I searched “starcraft” on youtube and just wanted to see some cool videos. I saw Boxer’s perfect scv rush against Yellow. That sure was awesome, but I yearned for a dominant zerg player. Sure Yellow was good, but I wanted to see a zerg demolish every opponent he faced, one after another. Soon enough, I found sAviOr videos. His play was astonishing. The units came from nowhere as he kept macroing from his 3 hatch build. The muta micro was any terran’s nightmare. The intense defiler micro saved his base from pushes one after another. This player soon became my favorite zerg.
Now, what’s amazing is why I even got into Starcraft. Literally no one I knew played it, except my cousins four years back. There wasn’t anyone to talk about sAviOr’s loss against FBH and the humiliating ceremony that followed. No one would understand the jibberish of macro, micro, and APM. I realize that I got into Starcraft because of its precise and strategical gameplay. I admired the wit, dexterity, and determination that these gamers needed to become champions of Starcraft.
I want this shirt because I feel it would spread the word of Starcraft to others unaware of its existence. If we get a bigger foreign fan base, it would allow more foreign progamers to go to Korea and learn from the true masters of the game. This garment would show others that they are not alone in the Starcraft universe. Besides the worlds of Char, Aiur, Mar Sara, and the other Starcraft planets, Earth is still battling it out as these three unique yet balanced races. Come forth, and join the Swarm, the Conclave, or the Confederacy, they’re all waiting for anyone willing to lead their army.
