Today's winner is . . .

- Your feelings on getting to the finals?
▲ This is my first finals. Perhaps it’s because I have to play Flash but considering it’s my first time getting to the finals, I’m not that happy (laughs). I am confident I can win though. I hope that the finals match can be very entertaining.
- Did you anticipate that you would win 3:0?
▲ Because the strategies I came prepared with today were so good, I came predicting a 3:0. However, because Kal had a lot of strategic builds today, I wasn’t able to show everything I prepared. I’m a little regretful in that aspect.
- In the first set you started with a disadvantage.
▲ Kal went 1 gate and played off 1 base. It was a strategy I never faced during practice so I was a bit taken aback. However, I tried to think of practices I had in the past and just tried to play out the rest of the game in my own way. Because of this I think I was able to win.
- Even after finding out what Kal’s build actually was, you kept producing zerglings (t/n: Kal played mindgames by pretending to go stargate when he was actually going citadel – he canceled the stargate once EffOrt’s overlord died).
▲ I was scouting with my overlord but because Kal was building his stargate under my direct vision, I was a bit suspicious. However I thought he would be forced to make a lot of zealots anyway to defend against lings. Thinking that if I could decrease his zealot count, I could be at an advantage, I decided to keep producing mass lings. I believe that decision is what gave me set 1’s win.
- Your muta micro in set 2 was amazing.
▲ In general, I felt that my games were playing out smoother than usual and my control was good as well so I played with a comfortable mindset. I think being in a good mood helped me win the games more easily.
- There’s no way we can avoid asking you a question about your Ro16 re-re-re-re-game.
▲ I feel like the Ro16 re-re-re-re-game incident was a turning point for me. After this, my confidence was fully restored. Because of this, I feel like my gameplay is even smoother now. To be honest I’ve received questions about the re-re-re-re-game so many times I don’t know what else there is to say.
- If you were to evaluate your opponent in the finals – Flash?
▲ Lately he’s on a roll and it’s no secret that he’s a very good player. However, Flash is but a progamer, as am I. I believe I can win. I will make sure that I continue to win.
- With Flash you’re behind 1:4 in head to heads.
▲ Although I’m behind, I don’t really pay too much mind to head to head stats. Once I win, I would be getting revenge. Anticipating that I’m going to win, I’m not too concerned with those numbers.
- You’re officially on a 11 game win streak.
▲ I don’t know… honestly, even when I earned a good win streak last time, I didn’t pay too much attention to it. It just came about as I played. This time as well, I’m not going to concern myself with it too much. I noticed when you pay too much attention to numbers, your win streak ends.
- It feels like the EffOrt from 2009 has come back – how do you feel about your zvt?
▲ Recently, I haven’t had the chance to show my zvt skills. Because I’m playing the current best player Flash in the finals, I believe there’s no better opportunity to display my abilities. I’ll also use this finals match as a chance to get revenge for Movie. I’ll show that having a losing streak against terran is not who I really am.
- You haven’t really had much of a past in individual leagues.
▲ I don’t think it’s because I was unlucky. It’s because I wasn’t good enough to advance far into the individual leagues. I don’t blame it on luck. I believe my current qualification for the finals is because I’ve improved as a player, and I’ll work even harder to show an even better EffOrt in the future.
- Most people are probably going to predict Flash to be the winner.
▲ Whether by looking at stats or current momentum, there are going to be many people who expect Flash to win. However, because I haven’t had much chances to show my zvt thus far, I’ll use this as my chance. I will show that I am good at zvt. I want to present a game that will defy current expectations.
- In the finals it’s important to know how to assess situations and to be very strong mentally.
▲ I’ve thought of my own ways to handle the finals once I get there. I’ll work hard to show great games.
- How did you prepare for today’s semi-final match?
▲ In our team, we have the protoss players Snow, Movie, and Nbs. These three players really helped me a lot. I’m incredibly grateful. Even on days off they didn’t rest and helped me practice, so they were of huge help to me. I will buy them something delicious when I get home today.
- Last words you want to say?
▲ Although I did pray after my match, I want to say thank you to God. I also want to say thank you to the fans who came to cheer for me today. I love you my EffOrt fans (laughs). I hope many people will come to support me in the finals.

Very impressive/solid play from Effort tonight. Great job to him.
Hopefully he'll show an impressive game against flash as well.
