The original idea was to bring some key, never before seen, lore scenes to life, through CGI. Many suggestions of what to include were discussed and debated. Unfortunately, we couldn't put everything into the cinematic that we wanted. We ran into some technical limitations (for example: the number of elements in scenes, the complexity of action, animating Zerg creatures, etc) and we ran out of time. But we still had those ideas... Needless to say, after the overwhelming response and success of First Contact. We immediately began pre-production for our most ambitious project yet - the sequel to First Contact.
This new cinematic is more complex; we're bringing you more scenes, more characters, and most importantly we're showcasing some of the most pivotal and important moments withing the StarCraft mythology that take place before or even after what transpires in the original StarCraft. Many of these scenes have never been seen cinematically - and we are very excited to eventually show it all. The biggest complaint about First Contact was it's short duration - fret no more! We will be seeing facets of all three races and for those of you who know your StarCraft lore there will be plenty of opportunities to geek out. taking place before or even after what transpires in the original StarCraft.
Our good friend, Phillip Sacramento, who voiced Tassadar so well in First Contact, that many thought he was the original voice actor from the game, will return to portray Tassadar and other “colorful” characters. Also look forward to a special guest star voice actor/actress who will be voicing this cinematic's lead. The soundtrack will be originally scored by professional composer Piotr Musial.
We sincerely hope you enjoy this teaser to our upcoming cinematic, StarCraft: Final Metamorphosis. And while we know the teaser doesn't do the cinematic justice (we know it's only 17 seconds long!), showing more would only serve to spoil the final product. Expect more info in the coming couple of months, with a tentative release for this summer, when dark and light energies will clash and hopefully, blow you away.
