When you run adaware and it comes up and scans everything. Do yuo check the boxes? then press next? i do and it says im deleting them but then they are all in the quarentine thing i think, then. Should i delete the quarentine thing too? and i have tons of problems with spyware. what exactly should i do? i ran spybot like twice adn it fucked up my .exe's for a while once. And it didnt seem to get rid of anything

veg, what os are you using, and what exactly did ad-aware quartine? Run every virus scanner you can thats for sure.
Sadist, yes you either check the boxes, or right click one and choose the 'select all' option in case you have a lot. Quarentining is just to keep them in case adaware fucks up and misidentifies a file or something, so you need it back. Or if the spyware removal process ruined your pc so bad you prefer to leave the spyware on there. You can delete the quarentine if you want, you are safe with or without it.
To solve your problem of getting spyware i recommend you disconnect your computer from the internet and stop browsing.

Drew, you just click the boxes, and click next. Make sure you update your Ad-Aware everday as well.
Your best bet is to DL Firefox, and eliminate all the loopholes that IE creates.
If you don't want to DL Firefox, then disable your ActiveX in IE, that can fix a lot of the problems.

have you tried restarting veg?

Veg, stop using fucking ME! I have never worked with such a piece of shit OS as ME in my life. I get call's from people all day with OS issues, and 90% of those people have ME. Stick with Window's 2000 Professional if you can afford the upgrade, it's your best bet.

Wtf?? Don't make useless stupid posts randomnly flaming people and not contributing to the topic in any such way. Be more childish please, fuckface...
Also, do you even know why you are saying I suck? If you knew even the slightest bit about computers you would know that ME is fucking trash and deserves to go down as one of the worst OS's ever.

Try this, it states WIN98 but it should definetly work for ME as well.
Insert the Windows 98 startup disk, and then restart your computer to a command prompt. Select Start computer with CD-ROM support. Note the drive letter that is assigned to your computer's CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive. Insert the Windows 98 CD into the CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive. At the command prompt, type c:, and then press ENTER. Type cd\windows\system, and then press ENTER. Type rename urlmon.dll urlmon.old, and then press ENTER. Type ext, and then press ENTER. When you receive the "Please enter the path to the Windows CAB files (a" message, type drive:\win98 where drive is the drive letter that you noted in step 1, and then press ENTER.
NOTE: If you have an OEM installation of Windows, the .cab files may also be located in the following folder: C:\Windows\Options\Cabs
If you extract from the Internet Explorer .cab files, the .cab files may also be located in the following folder: C:\Windows\windows update setup files
When you receive the "Please enter the name(s) of the files(s) you want to extract" message, type urlmon.dll, and then press ENTER. When you receive the "Please enter the path to extract to ("Enter" for current directory)" message, type c:\windows\system, and then press ENTER. When you receive the "Is this okay? (y/n)" message, type y, and then press ENTER.
The file is extracted. Remove the Windows 98 startup disk, and then restart the computer.
That should fix that DLL error at least.

Well then unless you have the CAB files on your HD your pretty fucked. Try searching for *.cab and see if those CAB's pull up. If you see them there try to see if you can follow those directions and change the destinations to where the CABS are in your harddrive.
