(or little higher, wrote something on the forum few seconds ago)
Nine days ago, I visited battle.net and saw that I got the chance to download beta. I was happy as hell, danced while it was installing praying that it would work.
And it did. That where the happy part ends.
I have a shitty Acer laptop with 8400m gfx card and 2gb or RAM. I put everything on low i when i played it was jerking me around on bnet, showing drop screen and everything. Turns out it's not the laptop, it's the connection i share with 4 more people.
Gone home and played around 40-50 games. It's fun as hell, until i reach 100 supply. Then it's a sideshow. I lose every PvT coz I can't hit those fucking helicopters or micro templars...marines and tanks just roll over me. I'm place 30 in gold league div 17.
Next week I'm hoping I can arrange to take my roommates PC (he has two) and find myself a monitor so I can play (he uses his TV for the other PC).
Until then, found myself editing sc2 wiki instead of playing. I love the time people invest in there, so I feel good contributing.
Have to do my homework now and socialize. Song for the end, unrelated, but great:
Sounds like you just need to practice and occasionally watch a rep or vod of a good player in your race for ideas... also the strategy discussions on here are decent a good chunk of the time (not always lol)

it's not that i don't get strategy, i can't implement them. it's almost impossible to hit a storm on banshees when someone micros with 5 frames per second. i almost never hit them.

80% of games that i win are don within 8 minutes.
After reading your reply, I stand by what I said and suggest you just practice and STILL occasionally watch a good player. It's not just about strategy... and I also doubt your strategy knowledge dwarfs your mechanics as much as you think it does (both in good way and bad way).
micronesia, he's saying that it's impossible to implement strategy because his computer is too shit to handle the game, ie. his FPS drops to 5 during a battle. If you think it's still possible to win under those conditions by reviewing strategy maybe you should try and run Crysis at the same time to emulate it, or something.

Hm I guess it's just REALLY shitty lol
I wouldn't play multiplayer under those circumstances so I erroneously assumed it wasn't that bad
