besides, if valks are running and golis are shooting scourges, how's 3-4 tanks gonna stop the hydralingmuta?

Sheesh...oov's build was great. His battle formation was very poor (I don't think he expected an attack right then, as mines werent layed), but more importantly his timing was wrong. This was a Flash mech build with valkyries, not oov's other build which wouldn't have worked vs Zero's 2 hatch in main muta.
While oov could still have won that battle, it would have been excessively costly unless Zero was really stupid about it. micro this, blah blah whatever, the entire game hinged on that undiscovered 7 expansion. As much as I wanted oov to win, that was incredibly smart of Zero to use oov's own play against him vs a build that completely revolves around 1 timing attack. oov used so many scouting scvs to check for Zero's expansions and to know when to move out. If Zero had not taken 7, oov would have had a much superior army (although his timing was still a bit slow given that Zero took the 9 base too). oov games are about economics and timing. Battle micro or minor harassment isn't going to change anything. Bar extreme stupidity, oov was going to win if Zero did not take that extra expansion unseen the entire game. And once Zero did, again bar extreme stupidty, oov was going to lose.
