hey I just sold my first textbook online and I'm not exactly sure what the best way to ship it is (I'm shipping it from California to Connecticut)
The book's dimensions are that of a regular piece of binder paper (8.5 in. x 11 in. I think?). It's near 600 pages so it's pretty heavy (sorry I don't have a scale to use to measure weight).
Anyways, I just need to know, should I ship it in a box or envelope? UPS or USPS?
edit: Amazon and Half.com say it's around 2.8 pounds. I'm thinking about just sending it via USPS Media Mail. Is that the best option?

Ive always done it USPS media mail

Yeah, media mail is fine, and just use one of those bubble wrap envelopes.

Also, if you don't have a box/envelope, a brown paper bag works very well. Or if you order your textbooks online as well, you can re-use some of the wrapping.

i've sold several books online. usually i print the shipping label through paypal and just pay the 80 or so cents for the box/envelope at the post office. only get a box if the book will absolutely not fit in an envelope. Media Mail is for sure the best and cheapest option.
