SCBOY and the WTL are bringing us another edition of the greatly enhanced Master's Coliseum, with 16 top players competing for a handsome prize pool of ¥300,000 CNY (about $42,000 USD). The all-online event will take place for two weeks during January 13-28, and will serve as both a competitive standalone event and key checkup ahead of IEM Katowice 2024.
Looking at it a bit more, this is a monstrous tournament. A week of Bo3, then Bo5 quarterfinals, Bo7 semi and UB final, and full lower bracket with Bo7s to set up a Bo9 grand final. That's a LOT of SC2. Love it!
Really like the swiss format and all the matches we'll get, but also wondering if this is too many games, especially the early Bo7s and Bo9s. Like it wouldn't be good if players get tired or if they have to play tons of games for 1 tournament, they have a lot of other tournies to play in too. I also imagine it gets tiring trying to win a Bo7 if you're the better player and it just goes 4-1 or 4-0.

No player plays more than two best of 7s per day, and it only happens for the lower bracket semis and finals. Everyone else plays at most a best of 5 and a best of 7 per day so this doesn't look more exhausting than say, a finals day at a weekend tournament.
