Now 3 years later I've finally gotten back to it and completed the game, and damn it's really good! Some classic over-the-top Japanese bits but otherwise solid, recommend. Mainly for the attention of DPB because somehow this game didn't make his list of ~100 switch games he's played yet. Next up is Octopath Traveler which has been lying in my closet for even longer, didn't really click the first time I played it, time to give it another chance. I'll look into it, thanks for the recommendation!

Restrict the Ghosts by only allowing the Ghosts to make a non-reverse turn at each intersection. Unfortunately, in Pacman's 41 year history, I don't think its ever been done.

I'm sure something similar has occurred in Mario Party mini-games in 1v3 games.

I wrecked my gameboy advance playing those games , I FREAKING LOVE THEM ! For them to come to switch now , it literally made my day

Amazing deckbuilder, but different enough from Slay the Spire that it doesn't feel like a rehash of the same. Lots of cool mechanics and synergies! I got 300 hours both in StS and Monster Train.

Found out through the subreddit that the sequel is launching in 2 days? I remember the game having lots of fans on here so just in case you didn't know: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Octopath_Traveler:_Champions_of_the_Continent Although it's a mobile game, not available on Switch...

That CotC is a prequel, not a sequel* and it's just a mobile game so I don't think I'll care enough to buy it, despite really liking OT. If it ever comes out on Switch, then I'll consider it!

I just finished 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. Great story, worth the high reviews. The battle portion was considered the weaker part of the game by many reviewers but it still works for me. It was maybe 30% of my total time played and that's with me taking my sweet time deciding on upgrades. Some of the requirements for advancing the story for certain characters can be occasionally hard to figure out. I just used a guide for those. The story is the definite highlight of the game.

Sounds like the reverse of Octopath Traveler for me (I loved the combat... and graphics and music, etc., but I found the OT storylines to be lacking).

13 Sentinels isn't an RPG though. It's mostly an adventure game/visual novel I guess. The combat portion is like a tower defense game where you can upgrade and change your sentinel weapon loadout and other stuff between battles.

I’m still playing Octopath and have Pokemon Legends as well as FE Warriors in the backlog, but I’m eager to hear your opinions! I've heard mostly good things from people who already enjoy the XC series (so if you like the previous XC games, it sounds like you'd like XC3). I won't be getting XC3, as I hated the combat system in XC2, and XC3's reportedly isn't much different. Fool me once, etc.
