TOURNAMENT CANCELLED
Hey everyone,
Sadly we have to cancel WardiTV 2020: Encore. Our goal with this event, similar to the initial WardiTV 2020 event, was to produce something special, that stood out from our other tournaments, mostly by having a strong prize pool and a format that played over a short period of time so it was easy to follow. By announcing early we thought we would were good to go ahead without any scheduling issues, however such is the world of esports.
WardiTV tournaments have always been about filling the gaps and keeping the StarCraft 2 rolling throughout the year. With that in mind, plus wanting to run over a consistent shorter period, we have decided it best to pull our competition so that other events can procede without having to schedule awkwardly or not happen at all.
We will still run our annual Christmas Invitational in December, and we are looking at the possibility of running a smaller event after DreamHack wraps up to replace the WardiTV 2020: Encore, one which will probably run over less days / an extra week or two with the goal of continuing to pad the gaps in SC2 tournament content. The prize money from our sponsor of WardiTV 2020: Encore will likely go to an event in January, schedule permitting.

oh wow this is incredible- what a year it has been for Wardi!!!
All the love and respect to you, you have improved tremendously and I am so happy for your successes.
Needless to say, this is going to be a sick tournament! I especially like how the group stages are more than 4 players in a group but will still be played in 2 days time- it's a format I wish ESL would incorporate themselves- maybe this will inspire them!

Someone expain to me why Wardi does not have his own fan club?
Wardi opens standard build WardiTV 2020, with a bit of Wardi YouTube tournament cheese mixed in and then transitions flawlessly into the Encore tournament for the endgame. Such a baller!

That is a pity. Would have been 2 weeks of non stop action
So who is the dealbreaker? Stay at HomeStoryCup comfirmed?
